I woke up stretching early in the morning. Today was the day I was to be tested to see if I was ready to be Alpha of the tribe.
I got up yawning. I splashed some water on my face with my hands from a hand made wood bowl. I dressed myself in a shirt and pants and put on a satchel containing paper, a feather pen, and ink. I walked out of my hut as I saw all the rest of the tribe lined up ready to see me off. I would be given 5 days to build shelter, have a resource of food and water, and find a mate, as well as one person from our enemy tribe. If I were not to return with these requirements, I would not only not be Alpha, I would be removed from the tribe.
I stepped forward, taking my dagger and sword. I put my dagger in my satchel, and I said goodbye too all and turned and walked into the woods.
Finding food and water and building shelter was the easy part. The hard part would be capturing one of the enemy, and finding a mate. The enemy tribe lived far apart from each other, only dominating small areas. They were called Catives.
I walked through the woods hunting for a Cative, or even a possible mate. I stumbled upon a Cative home. It seemed to be empty. I walked to a nearby stream and leaned over to catch a fish. I quickly snatched one from the water. At the same time, I was stabbed in the back with a dagger. It was the Cative! I reached for my own dagger. It was gone. The Cative stole it and stabbed me with my own dagger! It pushed it deeper, shoving me in the water. It stole my sword, dagger, and all food water and equipment. It pulled the dagger out and left me for dead, noting left but my clothes and empty satchel. I drifted down the river unconscious, until I eventually stopped, completely submerged except for my head, slowing the stream to a trickle.
