When I walked into the party I saw something I did not want to see, scratch that, no girl on earth wants to see. I saw my worst enemy, Ashley making out with Jeremy, MY boyfriend. Before I had time to say anything I ran, and ran, and ran until I couldn’t run any further, and I sat down and I cried, I screamed at the top of my lungs. I realized that Mia hadn’t run after me which made me feel even worse, but then I thought it was probably the best idea not to, I just needed some time to let what I just saw sink in. It had been a good twenty minutes before I heard something
“JAYDE, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE RIGHT NOW”
I would know that voice anywhere, it was Mia, it didn’t take me long to find her since she did have a flashlight.
“Oh my gosh, Jayde, your makeup”
“Good thing I brought some more” I said smiling
“Here, let me fix you up”
Once I was all fixed up we headed back to the party, when we got back to the barn I put on my biggest smile, acting like nothing happened and I was just showing up late. I looked around and I saw a lot of people I know, from school, or rodeo since Jake is a cowboy. I was really needing something to drink so I looked for the ‘bar’ since Jake was rich he supplied alcohol, I grabbed my favorite Key Lime Cherry Palm Bay. I looked back across all the people to find Mia, and I found her talking to a few guys, Ty, Justin, and Charlie, I hurried over there, once I got there I found out they were talking about Ashley and Jeremy.
Mia looks me right in the eyes and says “tonight’s the night you punch a bitch”
“I’m going to need a few more drinks before I do that” I say laughing
The night continued and Jeremy still hasn’t even talked to me, by this time I was on my 5th drink so I was half done, I was getting sick and tired lf Ashley so I let Mia know what I was going to go do and she watched in case I needed back up. I walked up to them and didn’t say anything, I swung and punched Ashley right in the nose, and it started bleeding.
“It’s over” is all I said to Jeremy, you should’ve seen the look on his face, priceless.
I walked back over to Mia and on my way there, guys would pat me on the shoulder and say good job, or that was hot, I had the biggest smile on my face, I was proud. When I got over to Mia she was standing there hand in hand with Tyler, I knew this would happen after all they’ve liked each other for years now, but it wasn’t just them there, Jake was there too.
Mia hugged me and said “that was awesome! I’m so proud of you!”
“Thank you”
Jake spoke up and said “it’s about time someone did that, she really deserved it, and I’m really glad it was you”
“I just couldn’t handle it any longer”
“It was hot”
OH MY GOD! Jake just said it was hot! My cheeks are on fire, I hope he doesn’t notice me blushing!!
“Thank you” I say smiling
Mia whispers in my ear “we’ll leave you two alone” then left
We spent the whole night together, all the girls gave me really dirty looks when they walked by. We were dancing together, talking, drinking, and having a great time! Everyone had left except me, Mia and Tyler, Jakes parents were gone like always so he had the house to himself, me and Mia were hammered and I didn’t feel like interrupting my dad’s sleep, I just sent him a text saying we were safe and just spending the night here. Jake showed Mia, and Tyler to their rooms even though they’d most likely sleep together, then he took me to his room and said
“You can sleep on my bed and ill sleep on my couch”
“Okay”
He gave me one of his shirts and a pair of his mom’s pajama shorts to sleep in, I was lying in his bed enjoying the smell of his shirt, and it was wonderful, when he walked in, only in his boxers, oh. My. God. I died a bit inside, and my cheeks were on fire.
“Goodnight Jayde” he said smirking
“Wait, come sleep with me” I said
