Finally

Ten months ago

"MOM, IM BACK FROM FROM SCHOOL! GEORGIA IS HAVING HER BIRTHDAY PARTY THE SAME DAY AS MINE SO I WAS WONDERING IF WE COULD COMBINE OURS TOGETHER? HER MOM SAID IT WAS FINE SO I JUST NEED A YES FROM YOU. REMEMBER IT IS JUST A FEW FRIENDS FOR A MOVIE."

I walked into the kitchen to find my mom standing with a brand new cooking set. I have always liked to cook. It's been a passion of mine since I was five.

"Happy early birthday Lily! I know your actual birthday is in three days but I wanted to give you something before it."

"OH MY GOD MOM! YOU ARE THE BEST!"

I ran towards her and gave her a hug

"And you and Georgia can have your movies together."

"Thank you, thank you."

I ran upstairs to my room. It had lime green walls, an orange bed and a dresser. I didn't go all out with my room like most teenage girls. It was small and simple. I sat on the little bench that was next to my window. I took out my green iPhone from my pocket and texted Georgia all the details.

To: Georgia

Hey Georgia, my mom said yes!

To: Lily

Great then 6:00pm at the movies on September 24?

To: Georgia

Sure, but don't forget to ask your mom to be a driver. We wouldn't want to cram up every one in one vehicle.

To: Lily

Oh ya! Well I actually did already and................

To: Georgia

To: Lily

My brother will have to drive. My mom is still staying for the party but by the time we go to the movies, she will be picking my little brother from his friends. It will take half an hour since she'll have to drive to my dad's house to drop my brother off. So I'm REEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLYYYY sorry!

To: Georgia

WHAT! Your older brother is the rudest. Don't you remember that time we ate his nachos and then he made us clean his room with tooth brushes? I don't want a rude, annoying and dumb person at our party.

It will just be the ride. You won't even have to come in his car. Just please don't be mad.

I slipped my iPhone back in my jeans and hopped onto my bed. The phone started to ring so I picked it up. Before I could even say hello, another woman spoke. It was my mom. I guess she picked it up too. I was about to put the phone down, but then I hear "We can't tell Lily about this. Ok." I thought it might be something for my birthday so I decide to listen a bit more.

"Ya I know."

"It will break her heart if she finds out anything about you."

"Ya but can we meet up?"

"Sure! How about this Saturday? It's Lily's movie with her friends anyway so I'll just sneak out."

"Perfect! Bye."

"Bye."

Than they hung up. I couldn't believe what my mom was doing. I don't know who she is meeting up with but I will figure it out.
