How long it takes to figure what remains unknown? They say that whatever touches the curiosity always brings the disaster. The consequences. My mind was spiralling with a million thoughts and I was certain that Caleb's attentiveness was enough for him to grasp onto my pained expression. I was praying that never could he reach my secured secret.

I let out a deep breath while my back remains against the cold wall. My attention focused on the door that finally opened and it only took seconds for my gaze to lay upon a pair of mesmerizing jade green eyes.

" It won't take long until we find them, sir. " Blade stared ahead of me while he spoke with such determination that brought a proud smile accompanied by a nod from Mr.Gibson. Did this man ever get taken down? I doubt.

The change of words didn't last longer the moment Mr.Gibson adverted his gaze to me. Seriousness took his place once again and the next words that were spoken surprised me.

" Did the shooting train fueled the reality of how hard this work is? Caleb informed me that something aroused your good performance. " His words were like knives piercing my skin and the pain was unbearable. If the real reason that made me walk into this was revealed then I would be taken away before I could accomplish anything.

" I handled a gun before. Made the work easier. " I almost couldn't take my own words with credibility even if I was giving out half of the truth. Only the feeling that made me shoot was still hidden.

I could feel Blade's hard stare focused on my face and if it wasn't for his silence I could swear that he uncovered my hidden little lie. He could be compared to a prey waiting for the right moment to hunt me.

He wouldn't dare corner me. And if he did I wouldn't give everything out, not after remaining silent all this time. At this moment both of us are burning in hell with the secrets we keep.

" Very well. Come in because we have some matters to talk about. " Mr.Gibson's order broke the momentary silence which I was thankful for.

I took slow steps into the office but still I could feel his fierce stare while the door was closing behind Mr.Gibson. Leaving only the both of us surrounded by four walls.

" Take a seat, Ivy. " My body occupied the seat in front of his desk. My gaze once again focusing on the serious and autorithary man that had everything at his feet and worked for nothing but the people's safety. All his pride laying on the people that worked hardly along with him.

I couldn't avoid my staring eyes from taking in all the details of the office. But what caught my utmost attention were the two frames holding pictures of both Blade and Caleb. Were they really important for him? Nothing seemed to get him prouder besides the two men even if he had other frames hanging on the walls. There was just something that made these particular two hold a distinct meaning.

Everytime I faced Caleb and Blade I could point out that they live along with constant doubt and maybe fear? My mother used to say that the unknown is always doubtful and dangerous so it makes me wonder how close are these three men, the bond is almost palpable and enviable.
