** DANTE VINO POV **

I woke up from the most peaceful rest I've ever had in my life. I held Rebel close to my chest, our legs intertwined, as I felt her heart beat against me. She was effortlessly beautiful. Her jet black hair sprawling over her head like a halo, her plump lips slightly parted, and her breathing steady and even.

I held her close for a few more moments, relishing in the warmth and comfort that was this mysterious girl, before I dreadfully got out of bed. I got dressed in my clothes from last night, and kissed her forehead before walking into my room to get ready for the long and tedious meetings ahead of me.

After I showered and got dressed into a fresh suit, I walked out into the kitchen. Rebel will definitely be hungover, so I reached into the cabinets and got her 3 Advil's, a fresh cup of coffee, and a glass of water. My phone started ringing, and I slightly groaned before answering Angelos call.

"What do you want." I mumbled as I walked outside into the garden. It was slightly overcast, making the flowers seem more vibrant than usual.

"How's Rebel doing?" He asked curiously.

"She'll live. What's on the agenda today?" I said coldly.

"We have our weekly training with the assassins and a meeting updating everyone on the recent attack." Angelo spoke seriously. My attention was drawn to a single rose in full bloom. It reminded me of my little vixen: vibrant, exquisite, beautiful. I took out my old and tattered pocket knife, clipped it, and examined it as I slightly smiled.

"Brother, are you listening to me?" Angelo asked as I walked back into the house.

"Sure. I'll be at the warehouse in 30." I said before hanging up. I placed the coffee, water, Advil, and flower on the tray before taking out a piece of paper.

"Ah good morning son. How's Rebel doing? I was just about to visit her." My mother said walking in with the twins.

"Yeah you didn't kill our best friend did you?" Isa asked as she grabbed an apple from the bowl on the marble counter.

"She's sleeping. If any of you interrupt her sleep I will shoot you." I said seriously. My little vixen needed her beauty sleep. I quickly wrote a note, and walked up to her bedroom, the twins following me upstairs.

"So when can we see her?" Natalia asked curiously

"Yeah we're having Rebel withdrawals, it's been almost 8 hours." Isa said nonchalantly as she bit into her apple.

I held the tray with one hand and took out my gun with the other.

"What did I say about waking her?" I said as I playfully pointed the gun at the twins. Isa dropped her apple as she and Natalia raised their arms in surrender.

"Man brother, you've got it for her bad don't you?" Natalia said smirking as Isa raised her eyebrows.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said quickly as I reached her bedroom door.

"Sureee brother. Keep lying to yourself." Isa said. I shooed them away with my gun in my hand as I opened the bedroom door softly. I placed the tray on her nightstand and kissed her cheek once more before exiting the room.

My pleasant mood dwindled as I got closer and closer to the warehouse. My father always taught me to be ruthless and cold, to never display any sort of weakness.

The first thing on the agenda was to train the assassins, a task I dreaded. I walked into the training facility on the west side of the warehouse and threw my suit jacket on the bench. I was the first one there and decided to warm up on a punching bag. I rolled my sleeves up to my elbows and wrapped my hands.
