** REBEL SIMMONS POV **

"Rebel... I'm so sorry." My mother said with sadness in her voice as we began to pull up to the Vino estate.

"I know mom." I said as I looked out of the window. "I just... really need time to wrap my head around this if that's okay?" I said as I looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"Take all the time you need honey." My mother said before placing a hand on my shoulder as the car came to a steady stop. I looked over at Dante for a moment only to see that he was looking at his phone with his eyebrows furrowed, paying no mind to us.

"Thanks mom. I'm sorry about losing my temper on the plane." I said softly as I looked at her.

"It was a lot to take in. Plus given the circumstances that happened at the hospital, I'm sure you were under a lot of stress. Don't worry about it honey. I love you." She said as she hugged me.

"I love you too mom." I said as I hugged her back. Our hug was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. I looked over to see that Dante opened the door and quickly walked into the house, completely ignoring his entire family that was waiting for us at the door.

"FINALLY!" Isa and Natalia exclaimed in unison as they ran past their own brother and towards the car. I quickly got out, then turned around to help my mother out of the car.

I turned around quickly only to, once again, be bombarded by the twins signature hug. I chuckled as I regained my footing.

"I missed you guys too." I laughed before I let go and faced my mother.

"Mom, this is Isa and Natalia. My best friends." I said as I introduced them.

"Come here!" My mom said as she gave them a massive bear hug.

"I like you already mama." Isa exclaimed, making me chuckle under my breath.

"Angie?" Giana said as she and Harry quickly walked towards the car.

As Giana and Harry ran down to be reunited with my mother, I watched as Dante walked into the house without a second glance, Angelo quickly rushing to his side.

I'm not sure why I was even surprised at his cold behavior. The entire trip he was sweet, caring, and even showed me another side to his complex personality and past, yet as soon as we got home, he was his old self again. I sighed before putting on a fake smile, and enjoying the rest of the warm welcome the rest of the Vino's gave us.

"Wait WHAT?!" The twins exclaimed with wide eyes. The twins gave me some time to shower and relax before them bombarded me with questions. I told them about the attack on the hospital, my mothers remission, and the information that my mother told me. Unfortunately, I also had to tell them about what happened between me and their brother. I made sure to leave out nearly every single detail for the sake of my own sanity.

"Yup. Johnny wasn't my real father." I said as I pursed my lips and looked down at the floor.

"Rebel... are you okay?" Natalia asked as she looked at me with a worried expression on her face.

"Yeah, just a little confused." I said as I looked at her.

"Hmm... it all makes sense now." Isa said as she looked up and rubbed her chin. "Your dad was a badass, your moms a badass, and now, you've inherited all of their badassery." She continued, making us chuckle.

"I know this is probably a confusing time, but you can't get caught up in the past Rebel." Natalia said after a moment.

"I guess so. I suppose I'm just curious as to what my life would have been like if we did leave, if I didn't have to go through that." I said before I sighed deeply.

"But if you didn't go through those things, you wouldn't be the woman you are today." Isa said as she looked at me.

"If you didn't go through it, you might not have ever met us." Natalia said as she frowned.

"Hm... I guess you're right." I said as I looked at them with a smile.

"Besides, I'm sure theirs some information we have lying around here that could help us out." Natalia said as she stood up.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"We're gonna help you find your real dad." Isa said as she grinned.

"I don't even know where to start." I said as I looked down and took a deep breath.

"Lucky for you, we do." Natalia said as she grabbed my hand and helped me up.

The twins motioned for me to follow them as they began to walk out of my bedroom. I tilted my head in curiosity before quickly obliging.

"There's rules and regulations in our Mafia. One of the most important rule is to document everything. Every mission, every heist, anything and everything needs a report, you know, just in case something happens to our Don, whoever steps up will know what's going on." Natalia explained.

"Most people in the house don't know this, but there's a secret archive where all those reports and documents are hidden." Isa said as they continued walking.

"I'm sure you won't have a problem gaining access though." Natalia said as she looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

"Why do you say that?" I asked curiously.

"Well..." Natalia said as she tilted her head.

"Most of the information is stored on Dante's computer, and the original documents are stored in a locked cabinet in his office." Isa said as we turned the corner.

"So if Cobra ever had a run in with any of our members over the years, it'll be in there." Natalia said with a small smile.

The office was just a few doors away, and I furrowed my eyebrows once I heard screaming coming from within. We all looked at each other before tiptoeing near the large door, and pressing an ear to it.

"Well what does this little hacker mean to you, hm?" An unfamiliar voice asked. The voice was faint, as if it was a phone call, but it was obvious that it belonged to a woman. I looked at the twins, and their expressions quickly morphed into a scowl.

"Nothing. She means nothing to me." Dante's voice said in response, making my jaw clench and my heart sink.

"Oh really?" The woman's voice asked with a hint of playfulness. "You two seem awfully close. I don't think I believe you." She said seductively.

The twins looked at me with wide eyes as we all awaited his response.

"She's just another pointless fuck. She doesn't mean shit to me." Dante said immediately in a bored tone.

"Same old Dante." The woman laughed as tears began to pool in my eyes. "I'll be in touch." The woman said before a faint click was heard.

I took a step back as I stared at the large, oak door in front of me. The twins looked at each other before staring back at me with their eyebrows furrowed. We stood there for a few moments, ignoring the mumbling coming from within the office as tears started streaming down my face as his words echoed in my mind.

Nothing. She means nothing to me.

Just another pointless Fuck.

She doesn't mean shit to me.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice the footsteps quickly approaching from the other side of the door.

I stood there, with tears streaming down my face as the door swung open to reveal Dante standing there with an emotionless expression on his face.

"I'm done." I gasped through tears. "Whatever this is," I said as I motioned between us with my finger. "I'm done." I simply said before turning around and walking towards my room, stung with disappointment when I heard his office door close once more.
