Four weeks had already passed in an instant and I found myself bonding more and more with the boys that had accepted me as one of their own. In what seems like a miracle, I was spared to wear that ugly uniform, because the school doesn't require it. Now, talking about the guys, my mom is skeptic and unsure about me spending time with them, thinking that they might cause me to slack in school, telling me that they might have a "bad influence" on me. That didn't stop me from spending a lot of time in Larry's room with both of them, watching movies, playing games and discussing sweet nothings, while eating junk food at 9 pm. A lot of unusual things, so to say, were found out about them in the duration of these weeks and it drives me to like them even more. For one, Larry is one major pothead, literally and figuratively. If mom finds out that one of my friends is a consumer of such herbs, under the form of a joint, I wouldn't hear the end of it, so it's best if I don't make her suspect anything. While he is a pothead, he's also a hotheaded person. Whenever Sal gets in trouble with the blonde dude who I learned is Travis, Larry doesn't even show one sign of hesitation and jumps in to fight for his best friend. I respect that. To top it all off, he is also a metalhead. Yes, lots of heads for one person, some people may think and I knew that he was a metalhead since day one when I got in his apartment and heard the loud music blasting throughout the walls. To be honest, I just wanted..no, I craved to headbang to those rad beats and growls, but I didn't...and I kind of wish that I just did.
And then, there's Sally Face or Sal for short. He is one of the most wholesome persons that I have ever met in my entire life and you can see that his feelings are genuine and as real as they get. He likes children, annoying persons, all animals, and living creatures...Hell, I don't even know if there's something or someone that he doesn't at least agree on, not necessarily like. But, to contrast all of this, the coldest, most ironic and witty replies can come out from the same mouth that gives you words of comfort in such a way that it kind of shocked me the first time I saw him like this, while confronting Travis about his bully behavior, but it is sick, for sure. He's passionate about paranormal phenomena and solving mysteries which would be right up my alley if it wasn't for my tendency to chicken out when it came to putting things like these in application.
Anyway, I also made new friends beside them, such as Ash, Chug, and Maple, who always had my back, especially Maple. How did it happen? Well, in a similar fashion as the "wench incident".One problem that arose after I unleashed the anger upon me of the beast that is known as Rowena is that I got it stuck on me for good. Whenever she sees me alone on the hallways or in the schoolyard, without skipping a beat, she tries to make my school life miserable with her constant bullying, and I really don't get what her problem is. Sal keeps saying that she may have a personal issue and she can't get any way of relieving her anger, so she uses bullying as a coping mechanism. While it is sad I don't think this is fair by any means. If she has a problem then she should maybe talk with a professional about it. But, again, talking about how I got to be good friends with Maple, it all started when Rowena got Travis on my side to bully me, which was kind of expected.
It was during lunch time and Sal and Larry would get to school after lunch because they had a test that they didn't learn for, so they were trying to learn 5 chapters from the biology book in one sitting. Poor dudes.
I am sitting with Chug, and Maple, eating my homemade sandwich, minding my own business when I see Travis with Rowena behind him, going a little bit too close to my tray of food. I knew what his intentions were so I moved it to the center of the table, so he couldn't "accidentally" get it dumped on the ground. He gets stuck in place, dumbfounded, seeing that his chance of committing an evil act has been defeated but he goes on ready to move his seat. Rowena has none of it though and full on shoves the food off the table, with a face that showed no remorse. In the process of this happening, my cup of chocolate pudding that was sitting on the tray hit Maple and got her new grey hoodie stained. She has none of it though:
