Chapter 7: House Warming Party Part. 2

"I'd say thats the guy right? The same monsters you were friends with in the underground?" Alphys speaks up from behind me. Undyne was grinning widely, her eyes sparkling a bit.

"Y-you guys seem t-to get a-along well." Undyne comments.

"Uh yeah. It's him. But remember you can't say anything to him. He doesn't know it's me." I wind them nervously as I turn to face the kitchen again. I could hear them moving about in there. Toriel suddenly appears in the doorway and makes eye contact.

"Dinner is ready, would you please join us?" She asks kindly.

"Of course! I can't sit to taste your food Toriel!" I respond happily as I walk over to join her. Alphys and Undyne stay behind. I can here them talking and I feel their gaze on my back. Something tells me there is going to be a whole lot the then talking about me behind my back.

Inside the kitchen there is a an open area with a table and few chairs. There are some pretty light purple curtains blocking some of the light from the windows. Though the light still shines down and brightens a little red headed girls hair. She was sitting at the table talking softly with a yellow dinosaur monster. When she notices my presence she looks up and meets my eyes with her dark red ones. They are soft, they look very understanding and kind.

"Hello, you must be (Y/n)," she greets politely as she gets to her feet and walks over to me. "My name is Chara. Chara Dreemur. It's nice to finally meet you." She offers her hand to me, so I shake it, then she grabs my wrist and leads me over to the table. "Sit next to me." She pleads. She smelled of chocolate. Such a sweet scent always drew me in.

"Okay, I can  sit with you." I take a seat and dance the dinosaur monster. "What's your name?" Chara sits down between us.

"His name is Monster kid. He doesn't really talk much though." Chara explain as she pats Monster Kids' back reassuringly.

"Well it's nice to meet you Monster Kid!" I share a smile with him then glance over my shoulder at the kitchen are behind me. Sans was putting tacos onto plates and Toriel was pulling a pie out of the oven. Papyrus was just watching sans while chatting with him quietly. I sadly couldn't hear what he was saying.

"You see something you like?" Chara questions innocently. She giggles, "I mean the food of course, what else could I possibly mean~?" Her small smile shifts into a wide grin and I feel my face heating up.

"I have no idea what you are insinuating Chara." I huff as I cross my arms and avoid her knowing eyes.

"I could tell the moment you saw him that you knew him. You can't lie to me."

"That.. is spying." I respond weakly. 

"But I'm right, aren't I?" Chara seems rather sure of herself, Monster Kid on the other hand seemed confused.

"Y-yes.." I admit ashamedly. "We knew each other in the underground." I finish nervously.

"Why doesn't he remember you then?" She wonder curiously.

"I dunno." I shrug and glance back over at him. I'm shocked to find him gazing back at me. I immediately turn away and lay my head in my arms on the table.

"That's a lie but I'll let it slide. For now." Chara then begins to talk quietly with Monster Kid again. Just then Alphys and Undyne join us in the kitchen and sit across the table from me.
