Warrior Ceremony

Warrior Ceremony

This ceremony is performed when an apprentice has successfully completed his/her training and is deemed ready by his/her mentor or Clan leader to become a warrior. There are many variations of this ceremony that are all acceptable and are typically used at the Clan leader's preference or discretion, so I will include several forms that are all correct. All you have to do is fill in the appropriate names and virtues, which will be listed in the next section.

One warrior:

Clan Leader: "I, ___star, leader of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. __paw, do you promise to protect this Clan and uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do."

Clan Leader: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. ___paw, from this point on, you shall be called _(insert new name)_. StarClan honors your _(virtue)_ and your _(virtue)_, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan."

Clan Leader rests muzzle on top of new warrior's head.

New warrior licks leader's shoulder in respect.

Clan: "____! ____! ____!"

If you would like to include asking his/her mentor in the ceremony:

Clan Leader: "I, ___star, leader of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. ___paw, do you promise to protect this Clan and uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do."

Clan Leader: "_(Mentor)_, has your apprentice learned the skills necessary to become a warrior?"

Mentor: "Yes, ___star."

Clan Leader: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. ___paw, from this point on, you shall be called _(insert new name)_. StarClan honors your _(virtue)_ and your _(virtue)_, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan."

Clan: "____! ____! ____!"

Multiple warriors (three for example):

Clan Leader: "I, ___star, leader of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. ___paw, ___paw, and ___paw, do you promise to protect this Clan and uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentices: "I do."

Clan Leader: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. ___paw, from this point on, you shall be called _(insert new name)_. StarClan honors your _(virtue)_ and your _(virtue)_, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan."

Clan Leader: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. ___paw, from this point forward, your name shall be _(insert new name)_. StarClan honors your _(virtue)_ and your _virtue)_, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan."

Mentor: "Yes, __star, he/she is worthy and more."

Clan Leader: "Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. ___paw, from this point forward, you shall be known as _(insert new name)_. StarClan honors your _(virtue)_ and your _(virtue)_, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan."
