Dying Apprentice Ceremony

This ceremony is used if an apprentice was ready to become a warrior but has died or will likely die before becoming a warrior. It is used to honor the apprentice's loyalty to the Clan by letting them join StarClan as a warrior with a new name.

Bluestar used this ceremony when Brightpaw had been attacked by the dog pack and it seemed unlikely that she would survive. This occurred during the time in which Bluestar had declared war on StarClan, however, and she was renamed Lostface as a symbol of what Bluestar believed StarClan had done to punish her and her Clan.

Clan Leader: "I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/She has learned the warrior code and has given up his/her life in the service of her Clan. Let StarClan receive him/her as a warrior." Clan leader touches his/her nose to the apprentice's head as it would be done in a typical warrior ceremony. "He/She will be known as _(new warrior name)_."
