I've decided to take this story off hold! For everyone (if anyone) that actually kept this story in their library while it was on hold, this chapter is dedicated to you rad people! I'm trying to keep these chapters around 2,000 words so you might have to be patient for updates (sorry). When I'm not updating, feel free to check out some of my other stories! And now, Chapter 3! :D

Rie's P.O.V.

God, she was so beautiful. I ran my hand through Ever's hair as she slept soundly, pressed against my chest. She stirred in her sleep and I smiled faintly. These moments were some of my favorites. Just her and I with no distractions from the world. When she was sleeping, she wasn't ill or stressed or terrified and that's all I want for her. For her to be okay. For her to be happy.

Ever's eyelids fluttered open and I smiled down at her as she yawned. She pulled herself into a sitting position and kissed my cheek, leaning her head against my shoulder.

"Good morning my love," I said quietly, rubbing her back.

"Morning," She smiled.

"What do you want for breakfast?" I asked.

"You make me breakfast nearly every day! You really don't have to," She frowned.

"But want to!" I grinned.

"I think you can resist for a day or two," She giggled.

"I'll try I guess," I pouted, pretending to be upset. She pushed herself out of the bed and stretched, preparing herself to get up and face the day. She went to stand but I grabbed her arm and pulled her back down on top of me.

"Hey!" She laughed.

"Where do you think you're going, huh?" I smiled.

"To get dressed. Which you should really do to! We need to leave soon or we'll be late," Ever pointed.

"Oh, fine," I groaned. Ever pulled away from me but I grabbed her arm again and pulled her even closer to me. She smiled and I pressed my lips against hers, wrapping one arm around her waist and tangling the other in her long, light brown hair.

"Can I get ready now?" She laughed, pulling away from me.

"I guess so," I sighed and released her. She strode over the closet and sifted through her actually quite small wardrobe. Ever wasn't one of those girls who had a different outfit for every day of the year and I loved that about her.

"Quite staring at me, creep," She called playfully over her shoulder as she selected a short pale yellow dress from the closet. I eyed her as she went to the bathroom to change, accidently leaving the door cracked. She changed into the dress and curled her hair, pinning most of it back but leaving a few strands to frame her face.

"Do we have to go?" I groaned as she emerged from the bathroom and slipped on some tennis shoes.

"Yes," She replied coolly. "As Jack's friends, we are obligated to support his nerdiness."

"But I don't actually care about his comic!" I cried.

"Keep it down!" Ever hissed. "He might hear you! And you better care. He worked for months on that thing and we are in it so he wants us to be there."

"Who makes a comic about their life?" I sighed in exasperation.

"It's not a comic, it's a graphic novel," She pointed, turning to face me. "He's touchy about that."

"Fine," I pouted. "I'll go to the stupid 'graphic novel' release."

"You were going whether you agreed to or not," She smiled. "And you're gonna wear that suit too."
