When Max got to homeroom she walked in and took a seat. She sat right next to her friend, Sable. "Hi" Max waved. Sable waved back and kept drawing. Max rolled her eyes. This is what she got for having an emo friend. "Whatcha drawing?" Max said trying to get Sable to talk. "A hybrid..." Sable continued. "It's not turning out the way I expected it to." Sable frowned and got back to her work.
Max scanned the drawing... it looked amazing, it was a little fox with little antlers and tiny angelic wings. "Looks pretty good to me" Max said truthfully. Sable sighed. Max, determined to make Sable feel better, took Sable's notebook and ran up to their teacher, Ms. Raine. "Do you think this drawing that Sable made is good?" Ms. Raine looked up from her computer to look at the drawing. "Wow, that's a great drawing!" Ms. Raine said. "Told ya Sable!" Max said with pride in her voice. Sable took the notebook from Ms. Raine and ran with her head down to her seat. Max sat down next to Sable and smirked. Sable tried not to smile and attempted to frown, it didn't work. "Thanks" Sable said eventually. "Anytime!" Max said cheerfully.
After a while, class was over and they left. Sable and Max had their next class together so they walked side by side chatting.
A hand pushed Max. Max lost her balance and fell to the ground. Max slowly got up and rubbed her shoulder. She looked around and saw that Sable was tripped as well. Max looked around as to who could have done it.
And then she stopped them
Oh no. Not again.
