Sarah means princess and princesses need servants.
Looming shadows....
Death....
Maxwell Fox woke up with a start. Another nightmare.... She got out of bed and got ready for another day of school. Max went downstairs and got a seat at the dinner table. The second she sat down she heard an ear splitting screech. It was her twin sister as usual. Max's mom and dad always spent time with Sarah instead of her.
Sarah was actually named properly while Max wasn't.
Before Max was born there was no discussion as to what her name would be. When Max was born her parents just blurted out the first name that came to mind. Before Sarah was born there was a baby shower just for her and Max's parents put hours and hours of thought into deciding a name. When Sarah was born Max's parents knew exactly what name to give Sarah. They gave Sarah all the love and a affection her little heart desired and Max was shut out.
Max sighed and grabbed some cereal and soymilk. The cereal box was empty. Max resisted the urge to throw the box on to the ground and stomp on it. Instead she went upstairs with the cereal box and walked into her sister's room.
It got redecorated.... again. Now Sarah's room was really modern and no longer that princess pink junk. Max liked it better without as much pink but it was still unbearable. The walls were off white and there was a pink fluffy rug on the ground. The barbies had been replaced by makeup containers and the stuffed animals had been replaced by Pinterest worthy crafts.
"What do you want?" Sarah snapped. Max hesitated for a moment, took a deep breath or two and then... "You ate all the cereal again." Max said lifting up her chin. She felt proud of herself for speaking up, usually Max wouldn't have approached her sister like this. "So?" Sarah scoffed. Max's bravery vanished like important schoolwork. Max desperately searched for something decent to say. "Well, tell mom and dad that there isn't anymore cereal" Max quickly added on "They won't listen to me." Sarah narrowed her eyes and nodded reluctantly.
Max looked at her watch, it was time to go! She packed her lunch and left for school.
