Forgotten

Name

Max got to school 3 minutes early so she had to wait outside for the school building to open then wait again for her homeroom teacher to let her class in. 

Max saw Sarah over there and walked towards her. Sarah saw and mouthed Stay away from me. Shocked, Max took a step back and bumped into someone. Max spun around and found a boy about her age with tousled blue tipped black hair and stormy grey eyes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" Max started to say but he interrupted her. "It's fine.. really" He turned away and started to leave. Then he stopped. "I'm Kane" He said. "I'm Max" Max said looking down.
Max was embarrassed by her name because it was a constant reminder of how little her parents cared. Kane, seeing the bitterness in Max's eyes gave her a sad smile. "That's not such a bad name" He said trying to make her feel better. It didn't work. "Haha yeah right..." Max scoffed. Kane chuckled and looked at the ground.

Kids started filing into school so Kane and Max followed. "See ya around" Kane said smirking and ran off to his class. Max smiled and headed to her class too.
