My fingers shake as I rip the top of the envelope. I grab the folded piece of paper when an USB falls into my lap.

Mami,

I know you don't want to talk or see me right now. I'm not good with words, so I put a little something together with the boys. We miss you.

I miss you.

I smiled at the letter, re-reading it over and over for the next minutes. I folded it neatly back up when I was done, then reached over for my MacBook, plugging in the USB. Anxiety and excitement filled me as the video loaded, and every second stretched out longer than the last. I would look up at the laptop every five seconds, waiting and waiting for the loading to finish. I wondered what could be in it, but I knew it had to be a video from how long it was taking. I started to sketch to kill time, but I still couldn't pry my eyes from the screen for too long. After doing about three ten minute sketches I laid on my side. I started to reload in hopes of it going faster, but it remained steady.

Sometime in between my eyes began to drift closed from looking at the black screen. I pictured Richard back home and knew he was feeling lonely. He probably couldn't stay there for too long without leaving the house even for no reason. I spent a lot of time alone when Richard had studio time and it was the loneliest I had ever been. The house was huge and sure there was a gym, movie room, and even a pool, but it's no fun when you're missing that other person. I imagined us together and what would he do if I showed up there again. Something inside of me leaped, just as I picked up the familiar guitar tune to one of the greatest songs of all time.

My eyes opened and there he was. His biceps were visible as well as his tattoos because he wasn't wearing a shirt. His blonde hair was tossled, and he held Zabdi's guitar to him. The black and white effect of the video topped it all off and I propped myself up a little bit to watch closer.

"Oh, come on! Are You Lonesome is a classic." I retort, my finger lightly running up and down his chest. "You gotta do it. At least if you fuck up really, really bad."

"Fine, but just because I'll do anything for you," He agrees, but only because he truly loves me. "And what's in it for me?"

"You get me back," I say in an obvious tone. "What else could you want?"

Recalling that moment and seeing it now made it feel so surreal. I didn't think he would actually do it but here he is before me singing it. The words tugged at my heart even more as I saw his emotion in it.

"Are you lonesome tonight? Do you miss me tonight? Are you sorry we drifted apart?" He looked up straight into my eyes as he said the last sentence before it just became background music to a video of us. Most of these were from his snapchat, or from videos fans had probably sent to him.
