And Ryan still isn't out of character yet

................................................

"Misha's being annoying!!" Ryan tattled to Bob. He just rolled his eyes and whispered something towards the director.

"Do we have to stop putting you two in so many scenes together?" He asked. Misha and Ryan glanced toward each other and nodded. "Well, suck it up. Let's take it from the top. And... Action!"

They finished the scene with an extra hour. "Let's go to the bar!!" Jared requested. Ryan sat in her chair, drinking an iced latte, reading through the script. She suddenly spit her drink out, coughing as though she'd choked. "You okay?" She has this angry yet surprised look on her face. She stormed off towards set.

"What the hell? Me and Alex? Jack and Karla, really? Why didn't you tell me?" She tried her hardest to not break into a fit and cuss everyone out but her face was steaming red. "You know that's not fair. You should've told me when I auditioned. You should've told me when I got the part, for God's sake!!" She was fuming to say the least. "Forget it. I'm out. I'll see you tomorrow." She stomped off towards her trailer where she found Jensen, Jared, Misha, and Alex waiting. "Nope. I'm going home. I'm leaving and I'll be back tomorrow." She grabbed her bag out of her trailer and slammed it shut, locking it. She barely gave the men time to respond before she climbed in her car and drove off.

When she arrived home, she took a mere second to collapse on her couch and scream into a pillow before going to change into comfy clothes. She put on a yellow Champion sweatshirt with a pair of spandex with stripes on them. After that, she went to the bathroom and took off her remaining makeup. She threw her caramel hair into a messy bun and showed herself to the kitchen. She made a PB&J with a glass of water and sat back in her living room. There was a knock on the door and she hurried up to get it.

At the door stood Alex, with two tubs of ice cream. His eyes were red like he had been crying but he'd tried to wipe it away, causing more redness. Ryan dove in and gave him a big hug. He hugged back immediately and started to sniffle into her shoulder. "Please, come on in." Alex headed straight for the couch while Ryan grabbed two spoons from the kitchen. She went back to living room and saw her sandwich gone. Alex had a smudge of peanut butter on the edge of his mouth. Ryan stifled a laugh and sat down next to him. Alex was still chewing slightly, smiling a small smile. Ryan broke out into laughter and took her ice cream from him. The mood lightened a bit but was still dark.

"My girlfriend, Jenna, just broke up with me because she thought something was going on between us." Alex explained. Ryan looked towards her feet, immediately feeling a somber feeling come over her. She was the reason Alex was crying. She was the reason Alex's heart was broken. She was the reason that her best friend/crush was acting so sadly.

"It's easier to just not trust anybody. To not rely on someone. To not get close to anybody. To isolate yourself. It isn't fair what happened to you, but sooner or later it'll happen to everybody. People base their lives on false rumors. If it happens to be you that gets hurt, then oh well. That person doesn't fucking deserve you if they break you based on a fucking rumor." Ryan and Alex both a had tears swelling in their eyes.

"You wanna watch Christmas movies?" Alex asked, scooting closer to the grim girl. She nodded, hugging him. "Elf?" Ryan nodded and sniffled. Alex smiled slightly and turned it to Elf, seeing as it was recorded. Ryan fell asleep first, her eyelids slowly closing, despite her trying to keep them open. Alex laid his head against his best friends and slowly shut his eyes too.

3:29 am

Ryan shot up, her breathing heavy, tears streaming, and covered in sweat. She couldn't seem to calm down not matter how hard she tried. She'd had a terrible dream, causing a full out anxiety attack. Alex sat up slowly. He saw the condition the girl was in and grabbed her hands. He knelt in front of her, pushing a piece of hair from her face. "Hey, Rye, breathe with me." He motioned a couple deep breaths and slowly she started to calm down. Once her breathing was okay, Alex engulfed her in a hug. She cried into his shirt. He held onto her and she cried into his shoulder. Everything was going to work out.

But, they didn't realize how in love they were.
