"Why are you so nervous?" Her sister asked her. She was on FaceTime with her while she got ready for her date. She decided on a little bit more makeup than usual with darker lipstick. She wore a light blue, halter dress with pink flowers on it. Her hair was straightened. She wore little jewelry with some bracelets and some rings. She wore baby pink heels to match the flowers on her dress.

"How do I look?" Ryan asked Riley. She flipped the camera to show how the dress hugged her figure and how beautiful she looked.

"Ray, you look awesome. What're you guys doing anyways?" Riley asked. Ryan gave her a look telling her to be nice. "Geez sorry!" Ryan smiled, running her hands through her hair.

"I don't know, he told me to dress up, so I did. How are you and Charlie?" Her sister's boyfriend's name was Charles but they called him Charlie. Riley and Charlie rocked their little town as the cutest couple in the world.

"He's good. I'm good. We're good."

"My goodness, you two are the cutest!!" As she finished there was a knock on the door. "Hey, Alex is here. I'll talk to you later?" Her sister nodded. "Alright bye Ri! Tell Charlie I said hi!!" Her sister hung up and Ryan raced to the door. She opened it and Alex held a wide smile on his face.

"Hi," he whispered. She smiled, greeting him. "You look beautiful." She blushes a red color and allows him to come in. Sh followed him inside and quickly snatched her earrings up and put them in.

"Alright, we are good to...go!" She finished, making sure she had everything. They piled into the hallway as Ryan locked up. They held hands in the elevator, the car, and throughout their walk to their destination. They never let go. Even if one had to itch their nose they'd bring the others hand up too. "So, where we going?" She smiled, asking Alex. Alex glanced at her. He climbed into the driver seat while she climbed into the passenger seat.

"You'll just have to figure that out." He smirked. She glared at him. He knew what she was gonna say and said it before she could. "I hate surprises!" He imitated. Ryan giggled and squeezed his hand.

"That was cute. I really loved the whole higher voice thing." The two shared a laugh before pulling into a parking spot. "What the hell? An abandoned alley? Alex, you know me so well!!" She kidded. Alex smiles at her. She completely ignored all the nice things around the alley. She was going on about the backstory behind her love for alley ways.

"Alright Miss Sarcasm, this is our destination." It was a French themed restaurant called 'La rue de Paris' meaning 'the street of Paris.' Ryan smiles at the warm welcoming restaurant and Alex smiles at her. He loved the way her eyes lit up when she smiled. He loved the way she held her hands together as she laughed. He loved how her caramel hair draped over her tan shoulders. He loved that she was so unexplainably kind. And sweet. And funny. And cute. She was perfect. "Calvert." Alex spoke to the waiter. He smiled at them as they sat across from one another.

"Lex, this is perfect. Thank you so much." He smiled and kissed her hand.

"Anything for you darling," he smiled. "Now how about some drinks?" Ryan smiled and they ordered a bottle of wine. They thought nothing would get better but they hadn't had alcohol in them yet.

A few glasses later...

"So, how was the first date?" Alex asked, as he and Ryan walked down the sidewalk. They held hands trying to steady themselves with each other. Alex pulled out a large camera and Ryan turned to him.

"Why do you have a Polaroid camera?" She laughed, Alex snapped her picture as she was laughing. "You're an idiot, but the date was wonderful. I always find it awkward to sit across from people and to eat. I'm afraid something will happen, but tonight, I never felt that way. It was so easy. In a good way." Ryan said, leaning against Alex's car. She placed her hands on his shoulders and touched her nose to his. He closed the space with a kiss. "You're an adorable idiot, Alexander."
