Late Night Reading (A Young Magic Story)

When I met Joy's friends, I found someone just like me. The outside attitude does not match their innermost thoughts.

I begged my mother and father to let me stay with my aunt for the summer. I miss my cousin, Joy, because we live in two separate Kingdoms.

When I got there, she was fun to talk to even though every third word was a cuss word. It make it like a poem because each cuss flowed perfectly with her sentences. She invited me to hang out with her friends. One of them was the most interesting of them, Lewis Wayland. He acted just like everyone else when realizing that I was smart, but he was happy when he figured it out.
"Joy, You never really told me about your friend Lewis!" I shouted as we got to her house after having fun.

She collapsed on her bed and then stretched herself out so I couldn't sit down. So, I sat down on the floor next to her bed.

"We are not close friends. The only reason we hang out because Bearboy wants him to be more social as a thanks for always tutoring him."

I tried to hide my blush because he sounded like my perfect type on the outside, but I wonder if he is my type on the inside.

"He has beautiful green eyes."I told her and then she rolled on top of me.

"Be careful, I know how easy it is for your heart to break. He is not a big fan of people." 

I had to fake a smile because she does not know the full story. I can attract many people of all genders but they always leave me after they find out that I am not attracted all the way to them. It's just that I don't feel any physical attraction to anyone and most of my dates think that they would be the one that could fix me. I am slightly worried that Lewis might be the same on the inside.

I noticed that Joy was giving me a weird look as she got off of me.

"So, any other cute boys or girls here?" I said to change the subject.

"Well, Bearboy's other cousin, Bruce is said to be a cutie." She leaned close to my ear even though there is no one else in the room. "However, I have heard that he has been a heartbreaker and left a line of angry lovers." Then she stopped for a few moments. "Bearboy's brother is a sweetheart inside and out, but he acts like he has been badly attempting to hide his crush on Viktor."

"I haven't met them yet, but I have a feeling that there is more to the Bruce story." I explained to her and she just shrugged her shoulder at me.

As we fell asleep, I could not get rid of those bright green eyes full of knowledge just like the mages in the fictional books.
