Misun POV
I glanced up at Taejung, feeling a small blush graze my cheeks. I didn't know where we were going exactly, but from what I could tell I was about to meet his family.
We pulled up in front of a huge building and I gawked. No wonder he had a nice sports car. And expensive clothing.
Taejung turned to me. "Again, sorry. You're about to meet everybody."
"Everybody?"
"My uncles and my parents. Prepare yourself."
Before I could ask what he meant, I was pulled out of the car and into the building. I felt sorely out of place.
Everybody there was dressed in suits or other expensive brands. Me?
The cheapest thing I could find at Walmart. My mom died a long time ago and my father, no matter how hard he tries, can never seem to hold a job or find one.
He's a great father, don't get me wrong, but it's so hard to find a job nowadays and when he finally does get hired he's the first to go when they start laying people off.
Bad luck seemed to plague the two of us.
But I was okay with that. Because I had my dad. At the end of the day, no matter how horrible people were to me and no matter how bad our financial situation was, at least we had each other.
"Hey." I snapped out of my trance when Taejung poked my shoulder. I shook my head a little and turned my attention back to the room I was now entering.
When we both entered, seven men greeted me. "There you are." One of them snorted out.
"Well, it's not like anybody bothered to remind me."
"Uh, excuse the fu--"
"HELLO!" a voice suddenly shouted over the impending curse. I snapped my head to the side, feeling my eyes widen at the man now charging my way.
I backed up a little, finding myself hiding behind Taejung.
"Jin hyung..." Taejung said. "Don't traumatize him."
"He's adorable! Aigooooooooo!"
I felt a small blush coat my cheeks. Suddenly new arms wrapped around me and I let out a small shriek of fright.
"So cute!" A voice sang happily into my ear. And suddenly I was bouncing up and down in someone's arms, my legs flailing helplessly.
"Hoseok hyung!" I was released and I fell to the ground, dizzy.
"I am so sorry for my husband, he's a bit much." I took the hand offered to me. "I'm Yoongi. What's your name?" He asked.
"Wait...Yoongi's actually being nice to someone? And a kid?" I heard.
"U-um...my name's M-Misun."
"Taejung where'd you find this fluff ball?" I was wrapped into someone else's arms. The one they called Jin.
"He showed me around school today. Class President." Silence pervaded the air.
"Pfffffft! AHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughter filled the room.
"You!? You're friends with the class President!?" I saw a beautiful man walk over to me. "Hi, I'm Taejung's dad. My name's Taehyung."
"H-hello." I bowed a little, still wrapped in the one guy's arm.
"So you're my son's date tonight?"
"I-I'm sorry?" I turned to find another man walking over. I made the connection.
Taejung's parents must be a gay couple.
I saw them kiss and I couldn't take my eyes off of them.
I wanted to be like them. I wanted a loving relationship like that one day.
"Are you homophobic?" I jumped and squealed at the voice in my ear. I sprung away from Jin, breathing rapidly.
"W-what? No! I-Im gay too!" I slapped a hand over my mouth, a furious blush coating my cheeks.
"E-excuse me!" I squeaked before rushing out of the office.
Taejung's POV
"Great, you've traumatized him." I groaned, slapping a hand onto my forehead.
"He's so cute." My father chuckled. He patted me on the back. "So, class President, huh?"
"He showed me around." I shrugged. "I was gonna give him a ride home cause he doesn't have a car and he was gonna walk two miles to a bus stop."
"Hmm...and the bruises?"
"Bullies." I said simply.
"Home life?"
"Why do you wanna know?"
"He's a sweet kid. He's a keeper, too. And don't tell me you weren't checking out his ass."
Jin slapped my father (Jungkook) and Taehyung followed suit immediately after. "You're so shameless!" Taehyung yelled.
Jungkook simply shrugged. "I'm honest."
"I was not staring at his ass."
"*Coughs* Lies *Coughs*" Jin helpfully put in.
"Well, thank you or traumatizing the first friend I've made outside of this little party. I'm going to go try and salvage my friendship."
"*Cough* and the the ass *cough*"
"Not helping Jin hyung!" I yelled before exiting the room.
Misun must have found the bathroom, because that's where I found him. He was crouched in corner, a blush costing his cheeks.
He looked up as I entered. "I-I'm sorry..." He finally said.
"For what? I should the the one apologizing. My family is rather..." I trailed off, not wanting to throw too much shade at my family, which is an extremely hard thing to do.
I mean, come on, it's my family.
They can't be normal.
It isn't programmed anywhere in their brains.
"I'd like to be friends." I finally said. Misun looked up at my, surprised.
"I-id love that.." he finally said.
"Oh thank God." I sighed out a breath of relief. "I didn't want my family to scare you away."
