I was driving home on the highway with some music playing then I heard a scream so I turned my music down and looked around but all the other cars continued to speed past me. I kept driving then I saw something run out from the woods it was a girl in a all white dress that was now muddy and bloody holding the ends of it in her hands, she had on a flower crown and had tears running down her face. I hit my brakes making the cars behind me stop as well they began to blow at me but I just sat there she looked like a deer caught in headlights which was kind of the case she stood in front of my truck scared so I slowly got out this made her back up some "Why are you out here?" I asked yelling but she got scared and whispered backing up some more. Other cars were driving past erratically "Hey hey stop moving okay?" I said in a soft tone trying to get closer to her since me yelling didn't help at all, she just held on tightly to her dress as I continued to make my way to her the cars behind me went around and slowed when they saw her and I.
"Come here sweetie, I don't want you to get hurt." I said she frantically shook her head no as another car came speeding behind her she was so close to the white line. I moved closer to her as she stood there she looked like she wanted to make a run for it "Hey, look at me. I want to help you just come closer to me please." She just flinched some as I came closer. One car was doing close to a hundred and was coming up behind her quickly so I reached out and grabbed her making her scream and fall in my arms. I held her as she cried. She had bruises and cuts all over her body, I walked us to my Range Rover and got her in the car buckling her in. I got in on my side shaking my head and started driving "Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" I asked but she never responded I looked over at her and she had her hand on the window crying "Non laisse moi partir"(no let me go) she whispered "What?" I asked "Je veux rentrer à la maison, laissez-moi simplement rentrer à la maison"(I want to go home, just let me go home) she continued I just drove until I made it to the hospital. I parked the car and got out she looked at me with so much fear.
"What's wrong?" I asked she just stared at me scared of my next move I opened her door and she moved away some, I went and unbuckled her seat belt and she put her arms up to cover her face "Hey stop." I said grabbing her wrist making her yelp I let her go "Does it hurt?" I asked she looked at me still scared and confused "Come on." I said grabbing her elbow she winced some but got out. We walked up to the doors and she started coughing hard and she stopped walking I looked at her and she had blood coming from her side, I looked behind her and saw droplets of blood on the concrete. I picked her making her scream in pain some I ran inside and she was bleeding even more "I need a doctor please!" I yelled someone came over confused until he saw the girl in my arms I moved my hand and saw her blood was all over it he ran back somewhere . I looked at her face to see she was barely conscious "Hey, hey look at me " I said she didn't "Look at me." she did with her eyes barely open "J'ai sommeil s'il vous plaît laissez-moi dormir"(I'm sleepy please let me sleep) she whispered closing her eyes.
"No,no no wake up you're gonna be okay wake up." I said slowly losing it I was patting her thigh with my hand that was holding her back. The nurse from before came back with a stretcher and some other people that had moved her from my arms and took her to the emergency room. One of them came back after awhile "Ma'am do you know what happened to her?" he asked lowering the mask on his face "No I was driving on the highway and she ran i-into the street already bleeding and muddy I brought her here because I didn't know what else to do." "Well thank you for bringing her she wouldn't have made it if you hadn't" he spoke "What do you mean?" I asked now seeing all the blood on his clothes "What's wrong with her?" I asked he didn't respond at first trying to find a right way to say it "S-She's been through a lot. Her lower area has been ripped meaning she was more than likely raped, she as stab wounds and bruises throughout her body, that's what I know as of now she's going in for surgery as we speak." He said "Oh God" "Do you by any chance know her name?" "No, she doesn't speak English." I said he nodded and walked away.
I texted my mom telling her I would be late coming home even though it's been past curfew.

The doctor came back to me "How is she?" I asked "She's stable, she had some broken bones and more internal issues than we thought. We need to keep her here for a few days to make sure she's healing correctly." "Can I see her?" I asked, I just want to make sure she's okay "Yes, we tried looking her up in the system for birth certificate or anything but nothing came up." I nodded and he showed me to her room.
I walked in and she was half sleep. "Hi" I said looking at her she only looked at me and smiled a little "I hope you get well soon" I spoke and she looked at me confused, I was about to walk out but she sat up trying to grab me making the machines go off "What's wrong?" the doctor said walking in "I was walking out and it started going off." She tried getting up from the bed but they wouldn't let her "Non s'il vous plaît ne me quitte pas"(No please don't leave me) she cried her hazel eyes were full of tears and hurt. I walked up to her and held her making her calm down, I looked at the doctor and he sent everyone out and I just held her in my arms as her head rested in my chest "You have to stay here" I said softly as I attempted to lay her down but she held on to me, shaking her head no "je ne veux pas rester ici"(I don't want to stay here) she spoke.
"I don't know what your saying." I said she just sniffed as I felt tear drops on my arm. "I'll be back okay? I can't stay but I'll be back tomorrow" I said rubbing her head whimpering she snuggled into me as I laid her on the bed "Go to sleep so you can leave early" I spoke she reached for me as I backed away and I kissed her hand and walked out.
I got in my car and drove home thinking about everything that just happened. I don't even know what language she was speaking, what am I supposed to do?...
