Chapter 20 - Unexpected

As Riku and Satia walked towards Lira's room, Riku was walking with a hurry in his step, frustrating Satia. "Would you calm down? We don't have a set time period or limit!" said Satia, catching up to him.

"I really wanna get this done before it becomes a problem!" said Riku in reply, confusing Satia. "A problem?" she asked. "Don't worry about it! We'll get it done, I'm sure." said Riku as he stopped in front of Lira's room.

With a quick knock, Riku heard a loud bump from inside Lira's room. "Lira?! Are you okay?!" he asked as he rushed into the room without thinking. "W-wait--" "Are you hurt?!" cut her out Riku as he laid his eyes on Lira in the middle of changing her clothes.

As Riku and Lira stood there for about 5 seconds, Riku, without saying a word, leaved the room, closing the door, leaving Lira blushing. "What's wrong? Why did you leave?" asked Satia. "I...couldn't stay in there." said Riku in a calm tone.

"What are you talking about?!" she asked with frustration. "Listen, I can't just say this out for my own well being." said Riku, pinching his left and right cheek. "What's with you...?" she mumbled as they both watched Lira open the door to her room in a blush, fully clothed.

"U-um, Riku..." Lira began. "I know." finished Riku, knowing what she was thinking. As they nodded to each other in an understanding tone as Satia watched in confusion. "Is this some language with nodding...?" thought Satia as she brushed it away.

"Okay, all of that aside, I need your help for a little, Lira." said Riku as he took her hands in a dramatic tone, causing her to blush again. "R-riku...Satia is watching..." mumbled Lira. "We're going to the library!" said Riku, causing Lira to look confused.

"What were you thinking I was gonna say? I have some work...involving you." he said, both confused and confident. "O-oh, right! What do you need my help with...?" she asked as her flustered face came back to normal.

"Well, me and Satia are in a situation and we kinda need your help!" said Riku, pointing at Satia with a smile, who was just standing there. "You and Satia? How would I help?" she asked with a smile. "It's about the mission I got. I'll try to explain when we get there, okay?" he said as he began walking back to the library.

"A-ah, okay!" said Lira as she began walking after him, leaving Satia walking behind them. "Those two...really got around in that short amount of time, didn't they?" said Satia as she for worried. "That guy doesn't know how to show true affection towards Ms.Lira...This might end badly." she thought as she picked the pace.

As they walked towards the library, Lira walked up to Riku, grabbing his coat. "What's wrong?" he asked as he turned towards her. "Could you please explain it to me? You have been...rushing this..." she said with a worried tone.

"No, I just...want to finish it quickly..." he said in a monotone voice. "Why?" she asked as Satia caught up, stopping In her tracks, staring at them. "Why what?" he asked with annoyance. "Why are you always in such a hurry?" she asked with worry, causing him to blush.

"I'm not always in a hurry! I just really don't want to bear this mission much longer!" he said, causing her to freeze. "W-wait! That's not what I meant!" he said in a panic. "Is it...because of the reward?" she asked, shocking him completely.

"The reward...?" mumbled Riku with a shake in his voice. "So I was right..." she said as she out a fake smile on. "You promised back at the Beast's Valley. Was that because of the reward for the mission's completion, Riku?" she asked as she began to cry.

"N-no, you're wrong...!" he said with uncertainty. "Please...Let's go to the library and complete tour request..." she said as she began walking ahead of him. "What just...happened?" thought Riku as Satia patted his shoulder with force. "Physically, you might be more than normal, but emotionally, you're just sloppy and pathetic." said Satia as she passed by him.
