2. Um hi

She held her bag clenched to her chest and stared at the ground not wanting anyone else to see her.
Without even realizing where she was walking to Cheryl found herself in the library.
This was the only place in school where she could get away from the bullying since no one besides her really came in.
Closing her eyes and letting out a long sigh she went over to the back of the library and took out her sketchbook.
Cheryl absolutely loved drawing and she was really good at it too.
It was her way to escape and not think about anything else.
She could spend hours and hours just drawing and smiling.
What was she going to draw next , there were so much possibilities, so much styles she has yet to discover.
She looked at her sketchbook smiling weakly before opening it and looking through the drawings.
It made her happy and relaxed.
The library doors opened , the redhead didn't even flinch .
It would probably just be another student who's doing a project or something like that.
Only this time it wasn't someone doing a project.
Toni had followed her after she saw her leave the cafeteria.
It didn't take long for her to spot the girl she was looking for and casually walked over to her.
"You could've said hi before running off you know" she said with a soft chuckle making Cheryl jump.
Her eyes got big and panicked a little.
Startled she looked behind her ... was Toni talking to her ?
"Sorry , I didn't think we'd ever talk again"
Toni took the seat beside her and sat down next to the redhead.
"Why would that be ?"
Cheryl looked at her confused , that's when Toni saw the wound on her head and a couple of bruises.
"Cheryl ...what happened"
"I- It's nothing really"
Her breath was shaky and unstable.
"Cheryl look at me...please" The voice sounded soft and caring.
She slowly looked at the other girl making eye contact.
Hurt is all they could see , in both of their eyes.
Cheryl has been bottling everything up since day one and one day she's going to breakdown.
She's so close to breaking down already but she can't.
"I fell and hit my head" The serpent's facial expressions didn't change.
A sigh followed and then the redhead opened her mouth to speak again.
"Okay , When I walked into class some boy made me trip which caused me to fall and hit my head on a table while doing so"
"I'm going to beat his ass , who did it"
She didn't understand why Toni was being so nice to her.
The girl didn't even know she existed until this morning.
And now she's willing to stand up for her?
"It's fine , really"
The bell rang
"We better get back to class"
"Yea"
"I'll see you around red"
And with that she walked away.
"Red?" She liked the little nickname.
