Now before you go skipping this last page, I find myself asking you, you lovely and amazing readers, to keep on reading, for I'm sure you'll find something you might want to hear...And also because I have a question that I really need help with. :)
First, I'd like to say THANK YOU. The Princess and the Warlock started out as a literal dream, one that was born from a sleep-deprived mind. I'd been in a mad dash to edit my novel, Hitting a Home Run, and send it to my editor, and this story came to me like a sun coming out from behind a cloud. As you read, you may have noticed some inconsistencies throughout the plot. That's because this story was mainly written, at first, for me to have some sort of creative release, a fantasy realm for my mind to go when I was stressed out.
Who knew you all would fall in love with it, and who knew I'd become so enamored with this lovely story?
That being said, thank you to those who stuck around and professed their love in the comments! I've laughed, I've agreed, I've even rallied with you. And since, from the start, I was mainly winging this story, many of you have helped me shape this into the novel it's become! I've loved reading your comments, your worries and fears, and even your predictions. That's something many authors don't get to see in real time, and it was a real treat. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
Second, I'd like to say HELP.
Now, I don't know if you will agree with me on this, but I wonder: Does The Princess and the Warlock accurately describe this story, or is there a better title out there? Leave a comment down below as to what YOU might title this story! I'm curious, and also on the lookout for your guys' fabulous ideas!
Third, I'm going to answer the question you all may be wondering.
SEQUEL?
Well, I will tell you this.
The Princess and the Warlock (working title) is going to be getting a re-write. Like all first drafts, they need to be edited, revised, and polished to look their best. I plan to publish this novel and it will be coherent and absent of all the plot holes this first draft has dug up.
HOWEVER.
I hope some of you will be pleased to hear that--YES. Or, well, SORT OF.
Not a sequel perhaps, but a companion novel!
For NaNoWriMo 2018, I wrote a 97,000 word story about THE WARLOCK, Dane Tremaine, from the Hotel in Florence. We caught a glimpse of him in Chapter Nine (wow, it was THAT long ago?). That was also another novel I wanted to publish, but I might share it with you lovely readers first, for being so loyal and so loving and so amazing. I couldn't have gotten anywhere close to this point without you guys.
I'm not sure if it would be something any of you would be interested in, if I were to self-publish these books, but I would hope you all would follow me on this journey, and see where Kaius and Amora--and Dane and Amelia--end up!
Plus the idea of holding The Princess and the Warlock in my hands is just so CRAZY.
So, my friends, I ask two questions of you.
ONE: What would you title this novel?
TWO: Would you purchase an e-book or a paperback of this series?
And ooh bonus THREE: Should this be a series? What should we call it? THAT'S SO EXCITING
And I could go on, and on, and on, talking to you all, gushing with you all, because I am just so grateful to have you all join me on this journey. From chapitre Un to chapitre Quarante, you all have been there with me.
So, I say to you, my friends,
Au revoir pour le moment. ♥️
