"I am not wearing that" I told Phoebe. She was holding up a skimpy little red dress that I did not know I even owned.
She was standing in our closet throwing our clothes all over the floor. We had been here for ever trying to find something.
"Oh come on. Its cute and I dont even know why you are going out with William. I know you have a thing for my brother" she said staring at me.
"Well I thought he liked me too. But I was wrong. And William seems to like me so why not. Why do I have to wait for Dylan. When other people see that they like me?" I asked.
She sighed and took a seat next to me on the floor. "You dont have to wait. I just know that William wont be the person you will end up with" she told me.
I decided to change the subject. " so what are you and the Beardsley family scheming right now. Because I've seen you all acting out. And talking nicely to each other every now and then. Is there something you're not telling me?" I questioned raising my eyebrow at her mockingly.
Her eyes got wide and she shocked her head. What a fucking liar, I will end her. She got up going back in our closet. Standing up myself I followed her and grabbed her wrist. "I want to tell you, but I cant"she said.
"Why the hell not?" i asked. I was surprised she would not tell me. Ever since we became friends we had never kept anything from the other person before. And knowing she wont tell me, I kind of feel like crap.
"I just cant. Um...lets get you ready for this date" she said shoving a burgundy dress in my arms.
Sighing I just left the room to take a shower.
Time skip
"Wow this is um...expensive" I said.
The restaurant was big and extravagant. It was dimly lit with wooden floors. And black walls with pictures of people to cars. The tables were small squares for two with lit candles and roses. This was definitely a restaurant for older people. I would not go to this kind of place. But i guess it was the thought that count.
"Yeah, my dad told me about this place. So i asked him to set up a reservation for us. I was really hoping you would say yes. So.."he trailed off with a blush.
"Dont be embarrassed. Its cute" i told him as we took our seat.
William pulled out my chair then scooted me in. Then he went around the table to take a seat. We both picked up our menus and looked around for something to eat. Some of the foods I never heard of it before so I just decided to let him order for me.
"Hi welcome to flair. Can i start you off with something to drink?" the older waitor asked.
"Ill take a water" william said.
"Ill have a sprite" I answered.
The waiter walked away, and I turned my Focus to William. For a minute we just sat in awkward silence.
"Um what's your favorite movie?" i asked trying to spark a conversation.
" Pearl Harbor, its a great movie about Hawaii being attacked by japan. There's lots of action and some romance in it" William said grinning.
"I've seen it. It is really good, chicken is the game the main characters played right" i smiled.
"Yes. What about you?" he asked.
"I love horror movies. I really like scream" I answered.
"Never seen it" he said smiling.
"Are you kidding. We are totally going to watch it. You are missing out" I stated my opinion.
"Okay, tell me about yourself" William told me.
I stared in his brown eyes and I cant help but think of Dylan. I close my eyes and sign trying not to think of him right now.
"Well i love horror movies. My favorite colors are blue and purple. I enjoy skateboarding and acting. Um..im half italian and cuban. My mother is in rehab and i miss her. And i love living with the north family. They had been there for me my whole life" i stated.
" Im glad you have them. Even if they are one wild bunch. You deserve the world." he said grabbing my hand from across the table.
His thumb slowly and smoothly rubbed my hand. It was relaxing and felt like someone cared.
"Thank you" i said grinning. Then we carried on with dinner.
