Misunderstood [Taelice]

Rooftop

Taehyung's POV

I'm currently having a staring contest with the wall clock inside our classroom, I'm waiting for the bell to ring, signaling lunch time.

If you're asking why, I'm gonna find out who this Lisa is. Like I said, my curiosity gets the best of me sometimes.

Three minutes.

Two minutes.

I minute.

Thirty seconds.

5....

4....

3....

2....

1....

RING!!!

Finally!

The teacher then dismissed us, and I immediately bolted out the classroom, being the first one out.

I made my way towards the rooftop, stomping....more like running up the stairs as curiosity finally took over 100% of my body.

I don't know why a girl even made me curious.

I just feel like I know who this blonde, they're talking about.

I finally reached the top of the stairs, holding on to my knees for support while panting heavily in front of the door that leads to the outside.

After catching my breath for a moment, I went closer to the door and took hold of the door knob.

"Now to find out who this badass supposed girl is...." I mumbled as I peeked through the door.

To my disappointment, nobody was there, so I opened the door more wider, but still....nobody. Until I finally decided to just go out.

I looked around to find nothing.

Maybe she's not here yet. I did rush here, maybe she's still comin-

"Uhm.... Are you looking for someone?" A familiar feminine voice suddenly spoke, making me jump.

"Ahh!" I screamed as I jumped to look at the girl who startled me.

She looked oddly familiar, even her voice does, but I just can't pin point who she is.

"Gosh! You really scared me!" I said while clutching my chest, exactly where my heart is located.

She has this bangs, that covers her eyes, plus her hair is colored blonde! She wore a black PUMA hoodie, with dark blue skinny jeans, and some timberlands. She also put her hoodie up, so I only saw her bangs.

"Ahh! Mianhe, for scaring you! I just thought that you needed help or something" she said while her voice fading making the last word almost sound like a mumble.

She was looking at her hands, fiddling with her fingers.

Wait! Is she that supposed to be a badass girl!?

Well.....she doesn't look badass, instead, she honestly kinda look, innocent and shy.

"No, no, uhh... uhm...it's okay.... uhh..." I didn't know what to say anymore.

She really looks familiar though..... UGHH! I really need to remember people more often.

Wait.....wait.....wait.....hmm.....WAIT! Isn't she....

"You're that girl I bumped into yesterday!" I said in realization, as I pointed at her, my face lightening up, cuz I was proud of myself for remembering.

She smiled, "Ahh...Ne!" She said.

"I'm so sorry again for bumping into you yesterday! I'm also sorry that I didn't apologize properly, then I just left you there and ran, I'm really really sorry, I was just panicked and not in my right mind that time! I'm so sorry!" I said as I bowed multiple times to her.

Then suddenly I felt hands hold my shoulders, stopping me from bowing again, it was her.

"Please stop, it's really okay, I understood your situation, I always kinda see you getting chased by girls a lot, since you always pass our class room every time you get chased, I usually avoid you so I won't get smashed into but, unlucky me yesterday, I forgot" she said as she slowly took her hands while chuckling awkwardly.

"Yeah, you're right I do get chased a lot..." I said as I scratched the back of my head looking away from her.

For the first time in my life, I'm actually comfortable talking to another girl, other than eomma and halmoni.

Maybe it's because I don't get intimidated by her eyes, cuz I literally can't see it, with her bangs covering it like that.

"Uhm.....so What brings you here to the rooftop? Not a lot of people come here, so I was pretty shocked to see you when I got in" she asked.

"Well, I was actually looking for someone..." I said, my gaze was still elsewhere.

"Well, if you're looking for someone, you shouldn't look in the rooftop, I think I'm the only person who goes here, ever since I transferred here" she told me.

"Well, I was actually looking for you" I said finally looking at her.

She looked shock for a minute, well at least I think she did, with those bangs covering half of her face, it was hard seeing her emotions.

"M-me? Why are you looking for me?" She asked shock evident in her voice.

"I was actually looking for you ever since yesterday, after I escaped from those girls, cuz I was practically saved by the bell, I arrived at our classroom and felt guilty of not properly saying sorry to you, so after class, I looked for you in the cafeteria but you were nowhere to be found, then in our break I roamed around school to try and find you, but you still were nowhere to be found" I know it's not the whole truth, but I'm also not making things up, this is really what happened yesterday.

She smiled, "I appreciate your effort of finding me just to apologize, you're a very nice person Uhm?" I got the message and replied.

"Taehyung! Kim Taehyung!" I told her with a smile.

Her smile grew wider, "You're really nice, Taehyung sunbae-nim"

"Thanks" I said as I felt my cheeks grow hot, this is my first time hearing a compliment that I actually appreciate from another girl.

"By the way, I didn't get your name" I pretended to not know her name, so she won't be suspicious on how I knew her.

"I'm Lalisa Manoban! Lisa for short" She said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you Lisa, I'm sorry again that we had our first interaction, by me bumping into you" I apologized again.

"I told you it's okay, you don't need to feel guilty anymore" she said.

I smiled.

She's a very understanding person, I wonder why people call her a troublemaker.

I was gonna ask her why she doesn't cut her bangs, but then the school bell rang, signaling the end of lunch period.

I didn't even know that I was talking to her for that long.

"I guess we need to go, maybe I'll see you again around school sometime?" I asked her.

"If you need me, I'm always in this rooftop, on breaks and on lunch " she said smiling.

I smiled back, "Then I'll see you again here on break!" I said cheerfully.

She nodded smiling.

Honestly she isn't that bad, she's actually cute and cool, I think she's just a misunderstood girl.

I don't know why people think that she's a troublemaker when actually she's the total opposite.

I can't wait to see her again!
