Alexis' Pov:
I flip through the channels, unsatisfied, until I come across an old episode of Friends. Perfect.
I had woken up to find that both Perrie and Leah were M.I.A. It's nothing unusual, I sleep in so late that waking up alone has become a common occurrence.
I settle down and entertain myself by playing with the apps on my phone. Eleanor had made well on her promise and spent her last day taking me to get a new phone. We spent the whole car ride asking Siri inappropriate questions and laughing our heads off.
Phoebe says a witty line and the laugh track blares, filling the empty room.
Suddenly, my phone starts playing Sir-Mix-A-Lot's 90's hit single, Baby Got Back.
There's only one person on my contact list who has that ringtone.
"What do you want," I groan, turning my phone on the speaker setting so I can prop myself up on my elbows.
"Good morning to you too," Leah chuckles. I can almost hear the smirk on her face.
"It's not exactly morning," I observe. "Nobody bothered to wake me up."
"It's not safe to wake you up, Lex."
I roll my eyes, "You could have at least saved me some breakfast."
"I did!" She protests. "I left you half of a Celeste's on the table."
I roll off the couch and trudge into the kitchen, and sure enough, half of a frozen pizza sits, untouched on the counter.
"It's cold," I complain, taking a bite anyway.
"You snooze you lose," she sings.
I roll my eyes, "So where did you run off to this morning?"
"That's sort of the reason that I'm calling," I hear her adjust the phone. "I took the stairs, but these doors appear to only have a one-way in kind of thing."
I sigh, already knowing where this is headed. "Which floor are you on?" I mutter, closing the door behind me.
"Our floor."
I head towards the door that leads to the stairs.
"I see you," I drop my voice an octave and she looks up, meeting my eyes.
"Ha ha, now open the door."
I go to push open the door, but I stop, an idea forming in my head.
"I'll open it," I grin, "But you have to let me use your shampoo tonight."
"Alexis!" She cries, probably not wanting to give up her precious Philosophy shampoo.
"Okay, now you have to let me use it for the week!" I grin wider.
"But-,"
"The month?" I laugh at her horrified expression.
"One week, now let me out of here."
I roll my eyes, pushing open the door.
"I hate you," she mutters.
"Sure you do," I laugh. I'm about to close the door, when something catches my eye.
"Leah?"
"Yeah?"
"Why couldn't you get out again?"
"Because," she starts. "I was pushing on all the doors, and they wouldn't-
She notices the handle on the inside of the door.
