✦All your fault✦
❦Valerie had been waiting for Peter Parker in the library for over half an hour. She was sitting at a table with earbuds in her ears playing low enough so that no one else could hear, and working on some homework she had yet to finish.
After the first ten minutes of waiting, she was already getting immensely annoyed. The cranky girl was very impatient, so the more time that passed, the more irritated she got.
Right as she was about to start packing her things to head out, from the corner of her eye she spotted none other than Peter Parker stumbling into the library looking a bit deflated. His hair was ruffled and messy, his curls loose and no longer tamed in place with gel like he had it earlier that day.
He spotted her after a few seconds of scanning the room, and as soon as he did he noticed the death glare she was sending him. He rushed to the table, taking the seat across from her. "H-hey, sorry I'm late."
"Where the hell were you?" She snapped, looking at him in annoyance and irritation. She never hid her wrath from people, she didn't care if she hurt their feelings or not, if she was mad then she was going to show it whether they liked it or not.
Peter glanced at her a bit startled from her taut voice, "I forgot my textbook in calculus so I had to go back and get it." He lied.
On his way to the library, the sound of police sirens were heard and him being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, went to go and save the day. But he couldn't tell her that.
"It took you almost an hour to get a textbook?" The frank girl asked in a harsh tone.
The brunette slowly scratched the back of his head, "Yeah?" He muttered as more of a question than a statement.
Valerie rolled her eyes, deciding to drop it and stop wasting time. "Just get your books out so we can get to work. I would like to go home at some point today."
Peter nodded and grabbed his textbooks out of his tanned JanSport backpack, setting them down on the shabby table. "Did you come up with any ideas yet?" He asked, noticing the paper she had out full of ideas she probably had for the project.
The hazel-eyed girl passed him the paper she had written her vision of the project on, "I was thinking of doing a report based on theoretical physics like the basic concept of space and time, the big bang, and black holes."
The nerd looked at her in awe, glancing back and forth between her and the paper filled with information. "Wait, you mean like Stephen Hawking's book, A Brief History of Time? You've read it?"
"Yeah, I read it a few years ago and became very interested in it. I'm a fan of his I guess." The young girl said with a small smile, her dark hazel eyes showing a glimpse of light for a moment. She remembered reading the book for the first time so vividly, she remembered how she never wanted to put the book down, speeding through the pages in fascination and falling in love with physics more than she already was. She became a fan of Stephen Hawking as soon as she started reading, she admired him and wanted to become a Theoretical physicist herself.
