Before anything gets started, I want to give a shoutout to Son_Of_Poseidon18 for giving me the wonderful idea of PiperxPercy fic, and for calling my writing goddess-like. It is the greatest compliment I have ever received in my life, and I'm not too sure that it's true. Still, thank you, and I'm glad you enjoy. :) On with the story!
I took a deep breath. "You need to go back to Camp Half Hell and be in another war." I flashed out before they could process what I said and start yelling at me. I left a scroll behind, one that contained the new prophecy. I should let them cool off for about a day before I confront them again.
(Percy/Epsilon POV)
What. Chaos flashed out before I could even process what she said, and when I did, I got mad. No, I got furious. I'd been wanting to go back to Earth for a while now, but to see the Hunters, my dad, my mom, and, eventually, my baby sister. There was no way that I ever wanted to go back to Camp. I had already healed enough by getting Thalia and Nico to like me again, I didn't need anything else. I might go back to see Chiron, but that was it.
After I calmed down a bit, I walked to the center of the room and picked up the scroll. Glancing at it, it seemed like it contained the new prophecy. I cleared my throat, and read it out loud to the group.
The universe's king
Shall return to where he once called home
In the shadows
Lies a threat unknown
The Warriors of Chaos shall take a stand
With memory loss throughout the land
Many will fall and few will rise
As a hero in his eyes.
(STOP! Don't go any farther. Before reading what the characters think the prophecy means, I want YOU to comment what you think about it. I'd love to hear what you interpret these lines as!)
Immediately after I finished, there was yelling. Everyone was shouting ideas about what it could mean, who the threat was, whose memory was going to be lost, etc.
"Quiet!" I shouted. All the yelling screeched to a halt. "Let's look at this line by line. First, the universe's king."
Luke spoke up. "That'd be you. The next line refers to you going back to a place you once called home; Camp Half-Hell."
"In the shadows lies a threat unknown. Obviously that tells us that our new enemy dwells in the shadows," the former lieutenant of the Hunt theorized.
Michael spoke up next. "The Warriors of Chaos shall take a stand. It sounds like we'll be leading the army through the war. But then, with memory loss throughout the land. That line confuses me."
Everyone agreed with the god of sunsets. That line just didn't make any sense. Silena took to interpreting the last two lines. "Many will fall and few will rise, as a hero in his eyes. As with any war, there will probably be death. That might be the 'many will fall.' It also sounds like we might have some people rise from the enemy ranks to help us, and then be hailed as a hero. But who will be the man who sees these few people as a hero?" Silena asked, regarding the last line.
"I guess we'll just have to find out," her husband answered. "But right now, I'm tired, and it sounds like we're gonna have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. I'm going to bed."
"Good idea. Let's get some sleep everyone. As soon as you wake up, pack your things and leave them outside the portal room. I'll meet you all in the Great Hall for breakfast, and then we'll leave," I told them.
