I looked around for a few moments, then back at Chaos. "Lead the way." She opened another swirling black portal, and we both stepped through.

(Percy POV)

One thing I'd like to point out about traveling via portal, is that it makes you SUPER nauseous. It's even worse than shadow travel, and I thought that there was nothing worse than that. I felt like I was being shredded into a billion tiny pieces of, whatever I'm made out of, and then glued back together, while lemon juice was being squeezed onto each and every strip of me.

In a word, terrible.

However, the view from where I stepped out was absolutely worth every ounce of pain I felt from travel. Chaos had taken us to, presumably, a balcony in her castle. You could see the entire city, which consisted of buildings taller than the Empire State. All of them. Each one was a skyscraper, each one painted a different color of the galaxy. Strangely, even with all of the oranges and yellows blended into the blues and purples, it fit together beautifully.

"Welcome to my home, Percy," Chaos spoke up from behind me. I won't lie, she startled me. "This is Planet Chaos."

I lifted my eyebrow. "Not very original, are you?"

She shrugged. "Our author isn't either."

I ignored that comment and looked back out over the city. "How long will I be staying here?"

"As long as it takes," Chaos stated simply.

"Duh. But what is the approximation of training time?"

"Well," she started, dragging out the e, "it's probably going to be around 10,000 years."

...

...

...

"WHAT?"

Chaos cleared her throat. "I've got 5 skills to teach you, and if you complete the training on time, with no setbacks, each skill should take you 2,000 years to master."

I shook my head, trying to clear out some of the shock I was feeling. "What can be so hard that it takes 2,000 years to master?"

"First of all, you need to learn to control your wings."

"What wing-" As I asked that, she shot me with beam, containing all the typical colors of the universe. I suddenly felt a searing pain in my back, and I screamed. As soon as the pain went away, I glared up at Chaos.

"Those wings," she told me.

I looked behind me. There, right in between my shoulder blades, had sprouted two enormous black wings. They weren't all black though. Around 3/4 of the way up the wing, it started to fade into sea green, just like my eyes.

"They-they're amazing." I reached behind me, petting them, nearly recoiling when I felt how soft they were. I gave an experimental flap, and I was lifted a few feet into the air. I gently lowered myself down, and faced Chaos.

However, she looked surprised. "Most people, when I give them their wings for the first time, can't even flap them once. You did, and you didn't fall back miserably to the ground. You may be done with your training earlier than I thought."

I pumped my fist into the air. "Yes! I hate school! Finish school fast, get out of school!"

Chaos chuckled. "Yes, Percy, but after you 'graduate' then you need to become a teacher."

"Why?"

"For your personal army. You can choose 8 people, dead or alive, to come and join my army. They will become my elite team, so choose wisely."
