Others have their dinner dates, late night conversations, or movie nights but in a relationship where the two willing players have body systems, blood differentiation, muscle insertions, and whatnots about the medical world to learn, a car ride or a drive home becomes their little infinity. Those little moments that serve as little dots of mighty bond that keep them together.

She was anxious, he was hopeful. She does not know what to wear, he makes sure that his car was squeaky clean. It's an important day, it would either add wood or put off the fire. They were both second year Medical Students, two years to go and they are off to fulfill the dreams they have grasped, but they gave their cardiac muscles a chance to throb and their vascular system a rush-they are going to have their first date ever.
As he slowly put down the engine, he anxiously messaged the her telling her he was already outside the gate. She simply replied an okay with a smiley face. Seeing the gate slowly open, he stepped out of his car. Her mom telling them to enjoy the night and being her daughter in complete set of bones.
He opened the passenger seat door, she blushed and ushered in.
He looked at her dearly and simply said, "Stunning would be an understatement, thank you for this date."
"Say thank you when you get me home smiling. Let's do this!" She replied enthusiastically and slowly touched his hand. That surely made him comfortable. That despite the erratic heartbeat, he is reminded that she is going to have a date with the girl he wants to make his girlfriend.
Then they drove off, ate at a fancy restaurant and enjoyed each others company. That ride to the restaurant was okay but the ride home had a totally different aura.
"Thank you for tonight." He said as he cut his car's engine.
"Thank you too. Surely this wont be the last." She said gleefully, with a smile, and left a lipstick stain on his cheeks before opening her door and hurriedly opened the gate.

"Love, looking forward to downing our fave steak later." He just texted her. She was in her second to the last class. It was a friday and they had plans. Her thoughts were interrupted by a classmate.
"So we will push through with our group discussion on Chapters 5-6 on Surgery later in Starbucks." Her classmate informed them.
Oh no, another plan to be cancelled.
"Have a sudden plan with my group on surgery later. Have to cancel Love. :( You could down our steaks for me :)" She texted him before going to her last class. Hoping for a considerate reply. Her phone buzzed.
"It's okay. :/ I understand. See you dismissal okay? :*" he replied.
Her last class passed swiftly. She was calling him to tell him that she would just ride with her group mate. She got frustrated as he was not answering. Her phone buzzed and it was a message that simply said that he was at the parking lot. She hurriedly went to the parking lot and told her group mate to give her a sec.
He was their on the hood of his car smiling sweetly.
"I don't have time tonight. I'm sorry. I will make it up to you." She said and kissed his cheeks.
He then replied, "How about you get in the car and I drive you to wherever you are having your group work? Please Love. I miss you."
"But Ben's Steaks is out of the way. You're having your fave steaks tonight right?" She said.
"The plan was, WE are going to have OUR fave steaks. No one's eating steak unless you'll be with me." He replied and walked to her group mates.
"Would it be fine if I drive her there?" "Thanks" she overheard.
He came back and said, "So, let's go?! So my love can finish early and call it a day?"
"Do I have a choice?" She replied, giggled, and ran to the passenger seat.
He started the engine with a wicked grin, as if scheming a plan.
"What with that smile Love?" She queried as they drove out of the parking.
"Nothing. I just don't like to strain my muscles. Frowning takes 34 muscle contractions while smiling takes only 14." He jokingly replied as he caressed her cheeks.
He pulls over at the coffee shop, opens her door and said with a frown, "Happy studying girlfriend."
She then smiles sweetly and replied,"Thanks for driving boyfriend. Message me when you get home, I'll just ride with Juliane going home."
"Will do, Love." He said and kissed her forehead and she walks to the coffee shop entrance as he watches her.
3 hours later...
"Are you finished, Love?" He texted her.
She replied, "Half of a chapter more. Why, Love?"
"I can't go to bed thinking you aren't tucked in the confinements of your home." He quickly replied that made her giggle.
She then composed her reply, "I'll be home in an hour. Don't worry, I'll call you."
"Okay. I Love YOU. :* " He texted back.
She replied in a flash, "Love you too :*"
It was 9pm when her group finished. She quickly texted him that she was on her way home but she didn't get any reply. He might have fallen a sleep or took a bath. She thought to herself. Her classmate broke her reverie as she announced that she was already home.
"Goodnight!" Her classmate said, too happily she thought.
She slowly opened their gate, and to her amazement, his car was parked in their driveway. She then hurriedly went in and her heart melted like ice cream left out at a park bench as she saw him sleeping, with an Anatomy book under his head, a brown paper bag with a Ben and Jerry's Steakhouse tag and a familiar pastry house box on the dining table. She took the opportunity and took a photograph of the scene.
She then heated the steaks and placed plates on the table. When their feast was ready she kissed his cheeks and whispered "Love, Love, wake up now". He squinted his eyes, realizing he fell asleep. Then she hugged him as he kissed her nape.
They ate in pure joy. When they were through, she walked him to his car.
"Thank you Love." She sincerely said.
"Anything for you. Come here." He cooed as he cocooned her in an embrace. "Oh. Sleep now okay. Will pick you up tomorrow."
"I am not yet sleeping. I have to know you arrive home safely. Call me okay." She said.
"Aye aye captain! Goodnight. I love you." He said and gave her a forehead kiss then got in his car and drove away.
As she tucked herself to bed waiting for his call, she remembered the photo she took earlier. She quickly grabbed her phone and uploaded the photo on Instagram with the caption "My Little Infinity 💞😍😘💚"
