Chapter 7: Promises

"Do you want my warmth?" she turned red and hid both of her arms at the back and lowered her head and said cutely "Mr.Kraus I don't WANT your warmth,I NEED your warmth" and by those words I instantly hugged her gently, by the way I felt the feeling that she was already mine. I asked her "Is this enough?" she hugged me back and said "All is well" (Never knew she was a fan of the three idiots) I held her left hand with my right hand and then gently laid my other hand to the top of her head and said "Great. . .then you don't have to worry at all" she blushed,I felt a tight feeling on my waist and didn't notice she was already hugging me that tight and she cried (does girls have to blush that many times? because she always blush when I say the craziest things) then asked me "Mr. Kraus, why do you always have to make me fall in love to the things you always do or say to me? ;') " I didn't know what to say because that question flashed back everything that happened from day 1 till now. The rain fell harder and the wind blew stronger making Veronica and I much colder than the last time yet the heat from our warm bodies made us hold on to eachother much tighter. Few minutes later I felt her hot breath and from the looks of it she was already shivering so I took the umbrella and we walked through the rain until we reached my car and I helped her to get in. Went back to get the other things then got inside the car and as I sat on the drivers' seat I saw Veronica already looking pale,her lips were almost white as snow. (I hope her heart was frozen because if I make the ice melt then that means its TRUE LOVE "Only True Love can melt a frozen heart"~I miss Olaf haha) Luckily I brought a blanket and it was placed at the back seat so I just grabbed it and covered her to make her warm. (P.S. I didn't cover her head she might die due to lack of air :( I don't want that to happen) anyway I drove all the way to her home and we went inside her house and I helped Veronica to bed then gave her a glass of water and her medicine to prevent the cold to get the sickness that would pain my poor Veronica. I asked her if she can still change clothes then she slowly nodded then I told her to stay put cause i'll be the one to care for her. Got her Pajamas to change into and gave it to her then covered her body with the blanket to let her change without standing up. After some few minutes she was done and in her state of condition she was shy to give me the bikini she wore earlier. I told her "Don't worry about it. . . I'm here to take care of you so no harm will be done." Veronica smiled but I knew she was embarrassed that she gave me the bikini to put into the laundry basket. (I respect her and by that I won't dare to do wrong things which I will never do) I swear to God i'll take good care of her until she's well. She wanted me to sit beside her so I did then she Smiled at me and said "Thank you for all the care you gave me this day. I really appreciate everything :)" I held her hand and I replied back "Get well so my efforts will not be in vain. . . .You are a Princess to me so I care, if others say you're not then you are MY PRINCESS. I'm not taking care of you because you are sick, i'm taking care of you because you're special to me." Veronica sneezed and we both laughed so hard xD haha she replied "Sorry if I ruined the moment :'p " just smiled and I told her that i'll go down stairs and get some more water for her and as I stand up she grabbed my hand and said "Don't leave me. . .Cough*cough*" and I looked at her eyes and by those sight I knew she needed so I sat back down and I asked her "I know I told you I like you but may I just ask there is a girl, my childhood friend actually whom a person I also love but how do I move on?" she had teary eyes and began to talk in the calmest and relax way "If you love her why move on? what if that person is just waiting for you to tell her that you love her? why take a risk of moving on? Go after her" Honestly yes it did hurt me that she wanted me to be with another but she didn't even notice that it was her? hmmpp... Veronica touched my hand and said "but if you do chase after her please Mr. Krause don't forget me :'(" then she cried like a bird already eager to fly even with broken wings. I kissed her forehead and told her "You are the only person I want to spend my whole life with, you grew up with me since the day we met. The only friend I had until middle school so therefore I consider you already as my childhood friend." it may be not romantic for you but at least I told her the truth. I wiped her tears and told her its going to be okay so she told me this softly "if that person is me then why move on?" lowered my head and said "because maybe to you; i am just a drawing and can be erased but to me? you are life and cannot be replaced. That's why" though pale and weak Veronica slapped me and said "But You promised me you'd never leave me!" I never responded,not a thing to her cause I can never hit a girl and I will never hit a girl.
