— The weather was still cold, the fog, could be seen, dancing in the air. It was way worser than earlier. The rain hadn't stopped at all,as we drove down the road, puffs of grey cloud had swooped into the air like an armed patrol and had surrounded the moon from all sides, conquering it and blanketing the sky in its cover, leaving us only with a starless sky. There was nothing more that we could do but sit and wait for itself to be completely engulfed by its attackers.
The window was wet, the wipers were on but they were not helping at all, as the window was still attacked by the heavy rain drops, though, you could still see through it.
Me. I've been quiet. I've been quiet all the way home. However, Kai kept asking me questions which I couldn't create answers to in words not even a sentence slipping out my lips as I kept my mouth shut.
Why was I even mad? What's wrong with me..
Maybe the weather was giving me this bad vibe, or the man from earlier who was starring at me intimidated me this much.
I didn't even knew myself, as I was standing there surprised at the fact that I was this quiet.
I was just sitting there, looking out the window, doing nothing. I wanted to talk so bad with someone right now, I wanted someone to talk to but I did not wanted to talk at all.
I couldn't care less about the ruined dress, which was now settled and folded in a box into the backseat. I felt bad, but it's just a dress after all.
Kai, seemed to shut up himself too as he saw that all his tries weren't helping me at all. My mind wasn't working at all, as I was too tired to process a thing.
I blinked as I tried to mentain my eyes open, trying so hard to not fall asleep as my eyelids were almost giving up on me.
I felt Kai starring at me from the corner of my eye,a slight amusement attached onto his face.
"What's so funny?" I asked, with my eyes closed and my head leaning onto my right hand,a serious yet tired expression.
He seemed a little bit taken aback with surprisement as he shaked his head three times and his lips curved onto a smile "You!" he said, before bursting into small laughter.
I opened one of my eye to see him starring down at me and laughing with his very red face.
"If you're going to explode, please get out." I said with a calm and low, almost whispering voice but audible enough as I opened my eyes and relaxed my body onto the seat not forgetting to roll my eyes at him before looking forward.
He seemed to calm down, his gaze falling, once again, onto the road. "Ohh, I see" he said making a weird sound with his tongue before continuing "Someone's apparently grumpy tonight." he stated, before clicking his hands.
"I'm not!" I said, annoyed enough I smacked the back of his head, which was responded with a high pitch painful sound coming from him.
"Yes you are!" he said, moving away from me, and covering himself, in a protective way with his right hand, with the other one driving.
"Whatever." I folded my hands into my lap and went silent, exhausted at maximum.
"What happened?" Kai asked, with concern.
I looked at him over my shoulder for a moment and moved my gaze to look out of the window "What do you mean?" I asked carefully choosing my words, even though I knew what he was referring to, my voice going low, not sure if he heard me or not.
"You are usually brighter than the sun," Kai answered, as the car stopped in front of hundred of cars, because of the huge traffic. He locked his lips together before continuing "What's up?"
"Just tired." I answered, almost immediately, louder than the last time.
"Are you sure?," he said, bending forward to get a better look in front of him "You know, is my duty to protect you and be there for you," he continued and I caught a glimpse of his eyes, which showed pure sincerity "But I can't help you if you don't cooperate."
I sighed, as my shoulders tensed and I tapped my legs uncontrollable on the ground out of anxiety.
"I know that but-" I couldn't finish my sentence as Kai's phone started ringing, startling us both.
He picked it up before looking at the ID, excusing himself and putting it in the middle of his shoulder and head as his hands were already occupied with driving.
"Yes sir?" he responded immediately and the other person said something I couldn't quite understand, but I recognised the voice being my father.
Suddenly, there was a long pause and Kai's eyes were getting bigger, as he screamed "What?" to the other person on the other line.
Sweat begun to form onto his forehead as he froze instantly and fear was hidden behind his eyes. Suddenly, there was a loud sound, followed by the loud impact of a car hitting the back of the van I was sitting in.
My body was thrown forward, hitting my head into the radio. I placed my head on my forehead to adjust the pain, but it wasn't working at all. What is actually happening?
Kai wasn't talking at the phone anymore, as he drove five times faster which made me worried we would crash. He had a panicked expression over his face as he whispered curses at- no one, out of anger to the cars that were blocking our way.
I glanced at the side windows and I saw two big black cars were chasing us from behind,at a ridiculous high speed as it was swinging to the right and left, hitting all the cars around them.
My head started spinning and my body trembled as the things happened so fast that I couldn't process a thing. I was worried, confused, sad and angry at the same time as I saw those cars crashing all the things around them, carelessly.
There were people walking down the streets with umbrellas over their bodies as they watched with horror and gasped at the scene in front of their eyes.
"K-Kai," I suddenly said, my voice came cracking as I continued "What's happening?"
"You're going to be fine, okay?" he sad, uneasiness hiding into his voice, but I couldn't catch with him.
"Wha-" I started, interrupted by him.
"I said, okay?" he asked, again, much louder than the last time as his right hand found mine and looked at me.
"Y-Yes." I replied, unsure of what should I say. Am I really going to be fine? I don't even know myself. The time flies too fast, though. Suddenly one of the cars, achieved by Kai's side, the glass was tintled so I couldn't see who was in it.
The front door window went down and there were two guys.
"Well, well, well-" the guy who was sitting in the passenger seat shouted through the wind "What can I say, never been so happy to see you, Kai" he continued, a smirk curving his lips. He had blonde dyed hair, and as he spoke, a dimple appeared on his cheek.
The other car achieved by my side as the tintled front door glass was slowly going down.
My heartbeat accelerated and my eyes were bigger than anything else,a sweat formed onto my forehead as I saw his face. The same lips, the same dark eyes and the same smirk. He was there, looking me in the eyes, and I was melting under his gaze.
