Chapter 18

'Well, now we have to go into a volcano without burning alive...' Jolie side said concerned.

'Yeah, what should we do?'

'How about we ask Charlie-Hope?'

'Yeah, let's do that.'

"Charlie-Hope!" We yelled, our sword came out of our pocket, a white flash appeared once again and she arrived.

"Yes?" Charlie-Hope said, she looked dirtier than usual.

"We need-what happened to you?" We said interrupted by how she looked, as we looked at her clothes, we could see rips and dirt all over them.

"I don't know, one day I was just resting and then the next day I'm in a cave with the opening closed."

"How did you even manage to get here?" We said in concern.

"Turns out I can escape if you summon me."

"Oh, well that's good."

"Yes, now what is it you want?"

"The next ingredient on the list is going to an active volcano and get a rock from it."

"And you can't find a volcano?"

"No, we can't find a way to live inside a volcano."

"Oh, of course, well, your sword does have a lot of power."

"Oh right," We said feeling a little stupid.

"Well, I better go now, good luck!" And with that, she vanished.

'Okay let's see what this sword can do.' Jolie side said.

"Sword protect us from lava!" We exclaimed and moments later a suit that looked like a hazmat suit appeared. It was grey and had special glass to look through. We put it on and it felt very comfortable.

'Okay, I think we're ready.' Olivia side said.

"Sword, take us to Mount Kilauea!"

There was a white flash and we vanished, we arrived on the edge of the volcano, lava erupting from it and oozing down the sides.

'Let's not waste any time.' Jolie side said and we headed to the top of the volcano. Lava was coming from all sides. We stepped on top of it and it didn't feel hot. We spotted the crater and moved towards it. Lava was continuously erupting from it.

'Ready?' Jolie side said.

'Ready.' And with that, we jumped into the crater. We landed in the magma chamber is was semi-solid and semi-liquid but we landed in the part that was more liquid. We looked around for any signs of rocks. But instead, we spotted a gigantic platform that was made up of minerals. We went over there and stood on top of it. It was very solid.

'Okay, this is pretty cool.' Olivia side said in admiration.

'I know right? This is not what I thought the inside of a volcano was going to look like.'

After looking around we couldn't find any rocks.

'Why don't we just get the rock we're underneath?' Olivia side said.

'Oh yeah, of course.' Jolie side replied and we got our sword and sliced it through the rock. We got a bit of the rock and held it tightly in our hand.

"Yes, we did it!" We yelled as we were ecstatic, but once we said this the whole volcano started to shake.

'What's happening?' Olivia side said.

'I don't know but look at the top.' Our eyes stared at the top of the volcano. It started expanding. It eventually stopped, now the roof was ten metres above us.

'What is-' Jolie side was interrupted by a sudden shadow that appeared on the other side of the volcano. A black figure appeared.

Oktabrith's long slimy tentacle started coming towards us.

We placed our hand down on the rock where the sword was placed, without taking our eye off the tentacle. We couldn't feel it, we looked down and it was nowhere to be seen. Without any time to react the tentacle charged at us as it sliced harshly through the air. We started moving really fast towards Oktabrith. We stopped when we were face to face with him.

"Time to eat." He said and his mouth became wider. We started coming closer and closer to his mouth when we quickly yelled,

"Sword!" And it appeared in our hand we started to go into Oktabrith's mouth but before we could get eaten we sliced his tongue.

"Argh!" Oktabrith screeched and dropped his tentacle. He closed his jaw while we were still in it.

'No, we're still in his mouth!' Olivia side said.

We started to slice every part of his mouth, it was difficult as we got dragged further and further down getting close to his uvula. We quickly ran towards where the opening of his mouth was and stabbed it through. He choked and his mouth was open. We quickly hopped out of it and sliced one of his tentacles.

"Hrrk!" He yelled and fell down.

We suddenly realised that the rock was still on the platform. We quickly jumped on to the platform and grabbed the rock. The volcano roof started to become its original height. Oktabrith's tentacle started coming towards us, we quickly yelled, "Sword take us home!" We vanished with one second to spare. We dropped onto the floor of our house trying to catch our breath.

'We did it!' Olivia side said.

'Yeah now let's place the rock with the bottle of air.' Jolie side said. We placed the rock down and got out the list of ingredients to find what the next ingredient was. It said: Invidebit Fossa Mariana aqua fundo. After a few minutes, we found the English translation. Invidebit water taken from the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

'We have to go to the Mariana Trench now?' Olivia side said.

'Yep, and get...Invidebit water.'

'Invidebit water,' Olivia side repeated with confusion.
