Joe's POV

Have you ever been so nervous about something and excited at the same time? I genuinely feel like I could vomit right now, but on the other hand I want to jump up and down in excitement.

I am sitting at my desk, surrounded by my YouTube plaques for hitting certain amounts of subscribers, gaming equipment and my musical instruments, all very cluttered and disorganised, and all are due to the success I have had so far. My books, magazine covers, articles... all seemed so much easier compared to what I was contemplating on doing.

A couple months ago, I was approached by the BBC to be a celebrity star on this year's season of Strictly Come Dancing, and I was going to be the first youtuber ever to take part in the show. Wow, what an amazing offer am I right? You're probably thinking something along the lines of oh my god you fool, take the offer right now! or something similar to what I'm thinking like you can't dance joe, it would just be embarrassing for you and for your viewers.

Fast forward to now, the beginning of August, and I am sitting here in my desk chair looking at the same pros and cons list I made back in March open on my laptop, and next to it the Strictly Come Dancing contract. I go over the list, probably for the 200th time since I made it, reading them in my head:

Pros

- New experience

- Learning a new skill (useful for dancing at my possible future wedding)

- Meeting cool people

- Great way to start merging my career into mainstream media

- Challenging myself

- A good way to have a small break from YouTube, but still being able to provide content for my viewers in another way

- To get fit

Cons

- I can't dance for shit

- Could possibly be really embarrassing and tarnish my squeaky clean career (although my videos may possibly be doing that themselves ahaha)

- Would lose a lot of personal time, such as being able to hang out with my friends

- I have no confidence

- it is broad casted live over the UK

- what if me and my partner don't get along and therefore, we don't go far into the competition and I let everyone down.

I shake my head after reading the last con, feeling just as conflicted as I did before. A soft knock on the door pulls me out of my thoughts and I turn around to face the door,

"Come in". Byron, my roommate creeks the door open and pokes his head in,

"You alright mate? You have been tapping the desk for over an hour now and I'm starting to get slightly concerned and a little irritated", he laughed lightly. I look down at my hand and realise I am still tapping the desk subconsciously and then force myself to stop by placing my hand on my lap.

"Yeah, I'm still conflicted about what to do, whether I should participate in strictly or pass. The contract is due in 2 weeks,"

"Look, Joe I honestly reckon you should just do it, you've made the pros and cons list and if you ask me, the pros massively outweigh the cons and i know that you would be disappointed if they said they didn't need you anymore. You are a hard worker and I know you will do your best, but then again it ultimately is up to you", he smiles.

"Thanks Byron, it means a lot". Byron steps into the room and reaches out his hand to give me a man hug. After a quick two second hug, he pulls away and begins to laugh,

"Also if worse comes to worse, you could just get Zoe to try and convince her 11 million followers to vote to keep you in each week, even if you suck", he continues to laugh at himself while he walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.

I laugh to myself at his comment before turning back around to face the contract. I take a massive big breath in and type my name and details onto the document. I open up my email, create a new message and direct it to the BBC representative for Strictly and copy the signed contract in. Within 3 seconds, I clicked the send button and the document is now gone forever.

Watch out Strictly 2018, Joe Sugg is now a contender for the glitter-ball.

A/N: Hey guys, this is my first time writing a story! So if you have any comments/suggestions/criticism let me know. I decided to write a "fan fiction" (yuck i hate that word ahaha) because as i hope you guys reading are, i'm very happy and excited for Joe and Dianne, and being a follower of his for a while i'm super excited for him to have a girlfriend (finally). Also i have been reading a lot of other peoples books and they've given me ideas on how i would want my story going, so i am going to try and make this story as realistic as i possibly can.

Hope you enjoy the the prologue (; - lover of love
