Dianne's POV
The ride over to Joe's party was conflicting to say the least. As much as I wanted to go and have fun being a free woman and all, my heart was a little torn at the thought of him not being there anymore. I'm glad it's over, I really am, because it wasn't working for the both of us, but I have so much respect and love for him as a friend and its going to be really weird not seeing him every day.
Do I turn around and go back home? Do I continue on to the party and try and forget about today? If I'm being completely honest, I just don't feel in the party mood and the last thing I want to do is bring down anyone else with me.
Completely lost in my own thoughts about what to do when my phone suddenly vibrates. I click the home button to see I have a text from joe,
Hey Di, just wondering where you are, making sure you're okay and that you're still coming. Can't get my dancing shoes on without you here, so technically that means the party cannot start without you... Joe x
Okay now I have to go, I would feel way too bad if I didn't, I mean joe is counting on me, right?

I arrive at the front door, already hearing the music blaring through the walls. I press the door bell, and wait a couple of seconds before it opens revealing a slightly intoxicated Joe
"DIANNE!! You're finally here! I've been waiting for you and so has everyone else, come in come in!" he says as he embraces me into a warm hug, this is what I needed.
I follow behind him closely as he walks me through to the lounge, where there are so many people that its difficult to move. We push our way past the crowd to where the strictly cast is.
"Dianne hey! We didn't know if you were still coming, come here my love" Amy called, as I walked over and sat with her and the others.
The night continued to go smoothly as we all gathered around to watch the first episode of strictly. When joe and I were introduced as partners, he stood up from where he was and came and gave me a kiss on the cheek, before sitting back down.
After that everyone was a little more than tipsy, me having my fair share of drinks, to try and take my mind off of what had happened. Joe introduced me to his sister Zoe and her boyfriend Alfie, both super lovely people and both super excited for us to be partners, and then he went on to introduce me to all his other friends.
Everyone was drinking, singing, laughing and of course dancing. My intoxicated mind took Joe's hand and brought him onto the dance floor with me. We showed off a couple moves from our dance and then just mucked around. I was so drunk that I almost was grinding up against Joe, with him almost reciprocating. I realised what I was doing, and backed away, feeling guilty, it hasn't even been a day.
I sat down on the side, watching everyone continue to party away, feeling the alcohol slowly wear off as I start to remember what had happened today. I sat there for what seemed like forever watching the crowd of people slowly get smaller and smaller before my eyes. Thinking id make myself useful, now being almost completely sober, I started cleaning up, It's what I do when I get anxious.
Joe's POV
As the night came to an end, at around 3 in the morning, I still had a couple of people around at my house. Two of my friends back from Wiltshire that had come up, my mate Tom, and Dianne.
She was in the kitchen, tidying up as much as she could, collecting cups and plates and food and tossing them into a garbage bag,
"He Di, did you enjoy the night?" I ask her, almost startling her,
"Yeah joe, it was good" she responded half-heartedly,
"Is everything alright Di? You've seemed a little off all night,"
"Yes Joe, I'm fine" she said quietly, "just very tired"
"Did you want to stay over here? I've got extra bedding if you wanted, I could make up a bed on the sofa?" I offered her,
"No thanks, id rather go home..." she said not really looking at me,
"Oh okay if you insist,"
"yeah, id better be off now anyway, my ride should be here any minute,"
"oh is Anthony coming to get you?" I questioned,
"Ah yeah, I guess" and with that she grabbed her bag and coat and walked past me, heading to the front door. I followed behind her, stopping a metre away, before she turned to me, with a tear in her eye and said,
"thanks joe, for a really good night."
And then she left, shutting the door behind her.
Did I do something? She seemed upset. Was it something I said? Ah girls are confusing, I just hope things will be okay on Monday. I walked up to my room before jumping into bed and vlogging Tom. We had a chat with the vlog for a while, before I ended it and then had a catch up with him about my last couple months.
After a while, Tom fell asleep, leaving me awake to think about what had happened with Dianne and if she okay.
