Don't tell the world too much about you.

Why? People visiting your social media profiles can see your home address, email addresses and more publicly if you don't think wisely. To keep yourself safe, you can adjust who and what they can see about you. Some online services such as Twitter and Instagram let you hide your posts from the public, and only your followers and future followers you approve can see it. Others, like Facebook and Google+ let you choose who can see your future posts and change privacy settings for the past posts you uploaded there.

Go to secure and real sites only.

Don't use public WiFi networks as these are not secure.

If you need to use them, connect with a trustworthy VPN. Tor may helps but that's not good option. It's better to use your encrypted WiFi networks. Hackers use some advanced programs and coding to hijack public WiFi networks and track your online activities.

Use your trusted devices and never borrow someone's device to browse the Web.

If you using someone's device, browse privately or log out anything (or clear cookies to log out fast) before you leave. If you forgot log out, you can remotely log out your accounts in Account Settings. Instructions may vary, so visit their Help Center for guidance.
