After one week at school, being stalked by Namjoon and Yoongi, Rin barely thought she would survive another year.
"This is Hell." She muttered, after walking out the schools glass double doors.
Rin walked home, and changed into jeans and a long hoodie, and some vans, and went out for a coffee in the local Starbucks.
It wasn't crowded, so Rin decided to bring her sketchbook, and finish the sketch from Monday.
As the queue came to her, the cashier turned around, and she saw her sister.
"Haruka?"
"Oh hey Rin, what do you want?"
"I-I'll take a black coffee."
"Ew boring. I'll pay for it. Go sit." Haruka smiled, and gestured for Rin to sit on a lonely corner chair.
Rin sat down on the farthest table at the back, and pulled out her sketchbook. As she went to the last page, she found a note.
Rin, if you find this, then I guess you have no idea who this is. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew for sure that you were the one. I love you.
"Prank." Rin muttered, before setting the note on the table.
She had no idea that someone was longing over her, in exactly the same place.
Haruka came over with the coffee, and a free cookie. "I know you're still hung over mom, but you need to find something happy in that situation. She was too good for this world."
"I know." Rin muttered, and Haruka left, to go back to the work station.
As Rin brought the coffee up to her lips to take a sip, her phone notification went off.
???: Is this Katsuki Rin?
Rin: Maybe, who is this?
???: Namjoon, I wanted to ask if you would study with me for the Japanese speaking exam.
Rin: How did you get my number? But lovely study offer. no thanks, I don't take those exams.
???: Yoongi gave me your number, and why?
Rin: I'm already fluent.
???: You can help me then. I'll meet you at Starbucks in 5.
Rin groaned, and pulled her hoodie hood over her small face. "Uggghhhh please no."
She hoped the hoodie would cover her as she carried on sketching and drinking the coffee.
"Hey, Rin!" A familiar voice yelled, making Rin cringe. She pulled the hoodie hood over her head even more, it was so big it went down to her chest.
"How are you?" Namjoon asked, surprisingly politely. Rin's face peeked out of her hoodie.
"Terrible."
"Good, let's study then."
3 Hours Later
"And that's how to say 'I love you' in Japanese. Ashite Imasu." Rin explained.
"Mind if I pass some of these notes to Yoongi?"
"Don't care."
"Thanks."
Rin began to gather her things, when a thought came to her mind.
"Hey, Namjoon."
"What's up."
"I-I wouldn't actually mind having a f-friend." she shyly spoke. Namjoon's face lit up with happiness, and he wrapped the salty girl in a hug.
"I knew you would come around." he spoke softly.
"You don't know me at all." Rin scoffed.
"You don't know much about the past." Namjoon solemnly muttered, letting Rin go.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Ah- well, nothing."
Rin spotted Haruka leaving from the corner of her eye. "That's my sister, I better go."
Rin turned away to walk home, when Namjoon grabbed her wrist. "Stay, I can take you home."
Rin felt her face heat up. "O-ok."
One Hour Later
"Let me take you home in my car. Please." Namjoon persisted. Rin nodded her head, and took the last sip of her coffee, before throwing the paper cup in a bin.
"You could have recycled that you know."
"Oh shut up, Mr Perfect."
"Aw, you think I'm perfect."
"Shut up."
Namjoon led Rin to his car; it wasn't much, just a small Vauxhall, but it was still a car.
He politely held open the door, to which he was met with a blunt "Thanks."
The drive was quiet and awkward, until Namjoon put on English music.
The opening of Misery Business by Paramore began to play; it was Rin's favourite song, so she couldn't help but sing along.
"I'm in the business of misery lets take it from the top, she's got a body like an hourglass, its tickin' like a clock; its a matter of time before we all run out,"
"Wow, Rin, I had no idea you liked Paramore."
"Yeah, it's like, my favourite American band! Apart from Panic at the disco, and my chemical romance."
"Aren't they emo bands?"
"Is there a problem with that?"
"No. Not at all." Namjoon hums. "You live in the Byeol flats right?"
"Mhm, oh what, chorus. WOAH, WELL I NEVER MEANT TO BRAG, BUT I GOT WHAT I WANTED NOW!" Rin yelled. Yet to Namjoon, there was some sort of beauty to her voice, wether it was yelling, or just speaking, she was breath taking.
She's blossoming. Namjoon thought. Just like before. But, that Rin is gone. I have to let her go.
"Hey Namjoon, you okay? You stared off into space a little. Also, we're here." Rin giggled.
Namjoon snapped out of his trance, and began to sweetly smile.
"Sorry. I can walk you to your apartment if you want."
"Sure."
The two got out of the car, and Rin led Namjoon to her apartment.
"Thanks, I had fun tonight." Rin blushed slightly.
"Y-You're welcome." Namjoon laughed. "I'll see you on Monday."
"See ya. And remember. Ashite Imasu."
"Ashite Imasu." Namjoon waved. The half Japanese shut the door, and Namjoon heard his phone notification go off.
Yoongi: You know you can't go on like this. You need to tell her.
Namjoon: Give me time. Please. She really can't know our history.
Yoongi: I'm giving you until January, it's September now. Take your time. Actually, don't .
Namjoon: She can't know, you know that as much as I do. I love the person she used to be, but what of her now? She's the same, yet so different.
Yoongi: make up your mind. soon.
