Life changing Truth

Well,I guess you guys have read the previous segment in which Dev left Avni  abruptly, and went back home because Avni deceived Dev.

HOME SCENE
Dev was so angry and he never ever wanted to meet Avni again,he tried alot to discard her completely from his life but he couldn't accomplish that.Actually,he did this because he got an intuition which was-"if Avni had lied to me about nothing but her mother then sooner or later she can be a lot more deceptive and hypocrite".But,he also thought that she must've done this for a reason only and he wanted to fathom that.After that he got a call from Avni's father and Dev's mother's doctor Doctor Lakshay.

Telephonic conversation-

"Hello!"Doctor on phone
"Yes! doctor Dev this side,how may i help you sir"Dev replied.
"Dev I've told your dad to bring your mother tomorrow for a minor checkup and for a blood test as well,I've told him yesterday to bring her tomorrow morning but it's evening and he hasn't adhered what I told him to."Doctor said belligerently.
"I am extremely sorry for the oversight,I am bound to be there at 7".Dev responded

Dev called his mom and told her about the blood test and other medications which his  mother is bound to undergo.Dev and his mother reached the hospital and when they reached doctor's cabin  they knocked his cabin,doctor met both of them and he took his mother for the
tests.In the meantime dev didn't had any thing to do there so he went to have some tea in the cafeteria he entered and saw AVNI there that one glance jettisoned his idea of having tea and hence, he came outside but he was unaware that she too saw him and she ran behind him in order stop him and tell him what was entailed
behind all the lies of her.

Avni to Dev
"Dev stop please listen to me,I can explain Dev please stop"Avni shouted in order to make him steady.
"It is inexplicable Avni,so you better don't try"Dev replied

She ran and came ahead of him and stopped him.

"Dev please I am sorry that I lied upto that extent,Ok! fine tell me what I have to do for my penance."Avni said
"What penance,you don't give a damn about what one feels after being ditched by someone you are ditching me now, you might ditch me in the future you ain't reliable and your lies will eventually give you your comeuppance I don't need to  entangle myself with it."dev responded aggressively.
"Dev you are making this situation aggravated,I think we can sort this out"Avni said.
"I am not,you are the one who doesn't understands what one undergoes after being ditched"dev replied.

Pause for 5 minutes

"Ok then I shall tell you why I had to do that"Avni said
"Talk to my hand!"Dev said and walked away.
"I broke up with abhay"Avni said in a depressed manner.

For the record, Abhay was Avni's boyfriend in the second segment.
Those words were like cold shower in scorching weather for Dev.Dev turned back and pretended that he is very sad for Avni and headed towards her to listen her story.
