Scott

"So, how did everything turn out the way it did?" Angel asked, kicking his legs from where he was sat on the kitchen island.

"What do you mean?" I handed Angel the batter of pancake mix that he stirred for me.

"Like, how did Heaven and Hell become the way it is now? Where did it all begin?"

"Oh, well, it's kind of a long story, if you're willing to sit through it." I turned on the skillet to low heat and looked over at Angel with curious eyes.

"I'm willing."

"Alright then. Let's say the Year 665. The year before everything went downhill. There was a man, Lucifer." I paused and took in a deep breath. "He was the only man alive at the time. He had powers, no one to this day would believe he had. He was furious he was alone so he created his first demon servant who he gave equal powers to. The demon servant took advantage of the powers and created his own kingdom where he created more and more servants."

"Lucifer was furious when he found this out and of course, tried to destroy this kingdom but was locked out. He made his own kingdom, created his own demons, overpowered his first servant. He banished the servant from being in any form or shape involved with the kingdoms. He sent the servant away, the servant got angry. He created his own kingdom again, but this time, he changed his ways. He became this whole other person knowing it would piss off his creator. He was the opposite of Lucifer pretty much."

Angel grabbed the pancake batter bowl and a ladle to pour in small amounts onto the skillet.

"Lucifer knew what had happened to his servant and expanded his kingdom until he couldn't no more. He was growing old in age, three thousand years of living. He transferred his powers over to," I looked over at Mitch for a small second. "My father."

"My father called a war out to the servant. The servant named himself, 'Oh Good One.'" Scott stuck his tongue out lightly in disgust. "During the war, my father had created my mother, she helped him expand his powers, find out stuff he would never know about himself. My mother, she created the human world to create a new species of life. Her test subjects pretty much."

Angel's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise.

"One thousand, three hundred and thirty-one years ago. I was only created three hundred years ago, by the way."

Angel interrupted for a moment. "So if old is three thousand years, and you're only three hundred years old, does that make me a pedophile, or...?" I laughed at his words and he smiled at me.

"No, of course not," I said. "I don't really count the years I've been alive as an age. I mean, I've looked this way my whole life. When we die of 'old age', we just die because we've been living too long, hence old age. We've just been at the throne for too long." I shrugged.

Angel motioned for me to continue my story.

"So, anyway, the war between my father and 'Oh Good One'. It was brutal, lots of death, lots of bloodsheds, it was tough." I took in a deep breath. "What I said a few seconds ago was a lie. I didn't look like this my whole life."

Angel rose an eyebrow.

"The war in total took about one thousand years to complete and during the time, while my mom was still studying Earth, allowing them to procreate the way they did, she felt a bit left out and forced my Father to allow her to go down into Earth, studying the humans closer."

Angel handed me a plate of pancakes and I took it gratefully. I turned to the cupboard behind me to grab the syrup. Angel poured the liquid along our food.

"So, how did you become, you?"

"When my mom died, it was an accident down on Earth. Some disease. My father was devastated, he allowed himself to lose to the war in order to create me using the little powers my mom had left. In her memory, my Father chose a random human for my soul to possess, hence this body."

"So, you're not really you?" Angel tilted his head to the side in confusion.

"No. I'm really just a dark, evil soul inside of someone's random body. I don't hate it though, I feel pretty good."

"Finish the war!" Angel nearly shouted, making me smile.

"There's nothing much else to say. My father purposefully lost the war, put everything up to me and I just slowly rebuild my army until I can either start another war or, put it in another demon's hands."

"So, what about the humans that die? If they're your mom's creations why are they being killed for just being curious about their true, um, origin? Oh! And the Angel thing."

"The humans wouldn't be able to process it all in their minds. They have their own wars and democracy to work out. Trying to comprehend this world, would be too much, it'd cause chaos and the entire cycle would just put out of hand. Angels and Demons were given by their name right before my dad lost the war. He dropped down from his place, taking a piece of the war with him so he felt he won just a piece of it. Make sense?"

Angel nodded and set his plate of pancakes aside then reached up to me. "Come here, you've talked for too long, I need touch." I smiled and set my plate on top of his and stepped forward between Angel's legs, my hands on either side of Angel's body. My eyes glittered brightly, Angel humming and his eyes responded automatically. He relaxed in my embrace and brought his hands up to the back of my neck to pull me down into a sweet kiss.

"Sire." I pulled from the kiss, Angel letting his lips linger across my neck. I glared at the guard who came in and raised my eyebrow at him.

"What is it?" I growled. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?"

The guard got down on one knee, bowing his head to me. "He's come to arrange a meeting, Sire. He wants to see you as soon as possible."
