We chose our seats in the dining hall, and we ate lunch. I had just a simple rice dish, nothing to fancy, but it seemed that Jake here has a knack for huge meals.
"C'mon bud, eat some more." Jake pointed to the kitchen, telling me to grab some more food.
"Not everyone has a bottomless pit for a stomach Jake." I joked.
"Real funny, but man this foods good, who made it?" Jake asked.
"That would be me." Sylvanna waltzed through the door looking awfully chipper.
"You look happy, did something happen?" Jake asked the dancing girl.
"Well meet me in my dorm room at 1:30pm and bring Aya as well." Sylvanna's face turned serious, she usually isn't like this, so now I became worried. I finished my food, alerted Aya pretty discreetly, and left the dining hall in a pretty unnoticeable fashion. We all knocked on Sylvanna's door, and she let us in, no more like grabbed us, and tossed us in.
"Ouch, what was that for?!" I yelled.
"Quiet, I need to tell you guys something important, and you three seem to be close, so I'm not worried about you guys killing anybody." Sylvanna whispered. "Anyways when I was in the girls bathroom on the second floor, I tripped over a tile, and it uncovered, a little storage room, where I found this book." Sylvanna stated with a worried expression.
"What's in the book?" Jake asked.
"Ways to survive, and warnings about the killing game." Sylvanna whispered.
"Really does it mention anything about an escape?" I asked my eyes shining with hope.
"Yeah, but it's strange, apparently there's a special room somewhere in the school, and it has a monitor that you can use to contact, an agent of some group." Sylvanna explained, handing me the book to inspect.
"I'll read this passage." I stated, as I began reading the book.
"Case 2: Now if you are reading this here's something you should know, Monica or whoever is behind this killing game no matter what will intervene in this case, right now our friend Tom Garhklo, Master level Botanist was murdered, and our killer was Sophia Ashluga, Master level Guitarist. Now I don't know if this is info that you should use, but the victim was male, and the killer was female, and it happened on the second floor, in one of the classrooms. Also apparently some new students from the back-up course entered the school, maybe you'll see new people soon, since if there is another killing game then maybe it will be influenced by the current one. - S.N" I finished reciting the page.
"Well we did get new students, but I don't know what to think about the murder, that could be a trick set by Monica to plant distrust between us." I stated.
"Yeah, but who's S.N?" Sylvanna asked.
"I don't know." We all said.
"Sylvanna, may I take the book, and read it through its entirety?" Aya asked.
"I don't know, what if you tamper with it's contents." Sylvanna chuckled. Never mind, yeah you can have it, I was just joshing with you." Aya took the book, and went out of the room, and across the hall to her room.
"Well thanks, it's good to know that we can trust each other." Jake shook Sylvanna's hand.
"Hey, if I get another update, you guys will be the first to know." Sylvanna smiled leading us out the door.
"Well now it's like 1:45pm, so should we just chill?" I asked Jake.
"Actually I have something I need to attend to." Jake said quickly running off to the dining hall.
"Well guess I'm going back to my dorm." I thought to myself, as I proceeded to my door.//Jake's perspective//
I then ran out through the dining hall doors, and ran up the second floor stairs, all the way to the pool.
"Matt, Sam are you guys alright." I yelled.
"Heyyy!!! Jake, you came back to check on us, wow I'm flattered." Sam yelled.
"Uhhh Sam are you alright?" I asked.
"Yeah you like us or something." Matt declared in a strange way. It wasn't long before I noticed an alcoholic beverage next to them.
"Sam!! Matt!! You two are coming with me!" I yelled with frustration. "Really we are all underage here, and you think it's fine to get drunk, and in a school no less?" I yanked their hair, and brought them all the way into the game room.
"You two are going to stay here in here for the meantime, while I watch you two." I said leaning on an empty shelf. "Where in the world did you two even get the alcohol?" I questioned the two drunk boys.
"Hahahahaha it worked, it actually worked!" Matt yelled, laughing his head off.
"It was an empty can, we didn't actually get drunk, but man it was funny to see your reaction." Sam laughed. I wasn't so happy, but I guess playful banter isn't so bad.
"Well you two have fun I'll be going." I bid them.
"Bye Doc!" Sam yelled still laughing from the joke. I made my way to the classrooms, and I inspected everyone of them, if what that book was telling the truth then I needed to see if there were any unsafe objects in here.
"A knife well that doesn't look good." I said to myself. I took the knife, and made my way out of the door.
"UNSAFE OBJECT DETECTED." The door blasted.
"What the-."
"I've caught you now!" Aisuke yelled knocking me out with a pipe.//Oma's perspective//
It was so boring it was only 3:00pm why did time move so slowly.
"Why is this so boring!!" I screamed. Jake's words resonated within my mind "Actually I have something I need to attend to." What was he needing to attend to I wonder. I left my room, and went into the dining hall. And I saw something I never expected to see.
"Jake?! What happened." I yelled.
"I saw him come out of a classroom with a knife!" Aisuke yelled.
"What?!" I yelled. Jake then was woken up by the yelling.
"Where am I? Why am I tied up? Aisuke why did you hit me?" Jake shot questions left and right.
"First you're in the dining hall, second you came out of a classroom with a knife, and third the object detector went off, so I smacked you before you could stab me." Aisuke explained.
"Now to answer yours, I was in there because I needed to get all the dangerous objects confiscated, second off I wasn't going to stab you, and third when were those detectors installed?" Jake asked.
"Oh I found them lying around in the maintenance room, I had Sam attach them for me." Aisuke explained.
"Let me go Aisuke, I wasn't going to kill anyone." Jake angrily responded.
"Fine, I guess if a murder happens soon, I'll know who to suspect then." Aisuke laughed, walking out of the room, and towards the dorm hall.
"Are you okay Jake?" I asked concerned.
"Don't worry about me bud, I'm fine." Jake replied. "I just need some rest." So with a group effort we hauled Jake to his room, and dropped him onto his bed.
"Hey does anyone know where Sam, and Matt are?" John asked.
"Yeah they've been gone for a while, is that normal for them?" Olivia asked.
"They're in the Game room, upstairs." Jake responded. Jake then fell asleep. We all left his room, and waited around until dinner. After some boring talks, and waiting, dinner came around.
"Ahem, this an evening announcement." Monica alerted everyone. "Everyone meet in the dining hall for our very special announcement."
(What could be so special? I really am nervous. What if it's a new motive? What if something bad has happened?)
"Be calm Oma, be calm I'm okay." I gave myself a little pep talk, and marched on over to the dining hall. I stood next to Jake, and Aya when I entered the room, Monica was there just on the wall her dark, shadowy presence and all.
"So, it seems like everyone's having fun, right?" Monica asked.
"Yeah, but now that you're here obviously that's gonna change." Aya replied.
"You dig deep honey, but I came to relay a message, a very special message for our dear Sam Nakejima~" Monica sounded evil, she switched it to an audio recording.
"Sam if you're out there, I want you to know this you are the next Master level Mechanic, no doubt you will be accepted into Alacar Academy; however you must deny it you need to. The reason I was gone for a year was because of that school, I just want you to know that-." The audio ended.
"Finish the audio file Monica or I swear I will-." Sam was cut off by Monica.
"Will what?" Monica sounded demonic. "Here's a deal. If a person dies in 3 days time, I will reveal our mystery person." Monica bargained with Sam.
"I won't fall for it. I know full well who he is, and I know he's alright, I made him a promise, and I don't intend to break it." Sam left the room walking back to his room.
"Well I believe I made my point, toodles!" Monica yelled.
(That person? It seemed like it was his brother, but why did he know the secret of this school?) I thought to myself.
"Could he be a survivor?" Sonia asked.
"That implies that there has been another killing game before this though." Aisuke claimed.
"Well your not wr-." Jake's mouth was covered by Aya's hand.
"What are you doing?! Sylvanna said no disclosing what we talked about in the dorm room." Aya whispered forcefully.
"Sorry!" Jake said. It wasn't long until we finally dispersed, and did our own thing. I took some leftover rice, while Jake took a mountain of food.
"Jake what is with you and food?!" I yelled.
"Hey, I'm hungry." Jake smiled. We ate dinner, and returned to our dorms.
"Hey wait Oma." Sylvanna stated.
"What." I replied.
"I invited Aya and Jake to sleep over tonight. I want you to join too." Sylvanna said. "We can also discuss, you know what, and our plan." So I followed Sylvanna into her room, and we waited for the others to come. That book might be our saving grace, we might be able to find an escape route out of this school. Also I think I trust Jake, Aya, and Sylvanna enough, so I don't need to worry about a murder, and really that motive was only aimed for Sam, so there's nothing to worry about, is there?
"Well now we wait..." Oma stated.
