Raelynn
I gazed at the ceiling for several eternities, knowing what I'm about to do is bat shit crazy.
But completely necessary.
I bought the helicopter ticket last night to Tristan da Cunha, a small island in the middle of the Atlantic. That's where the small note attached to the key my dad gave me said to go.
My flight leaves with or without me in four hours.
A thousand questions are running through my head on repeat. Are those men who protected me since I was twelve even alive still? What if I go there for nothing? What if I get captured? If I do, will they kill me?
My dad said the location is heavily guarded. My 'female' smell is strong and very noticeable, but I have a plan for that. I have a plan for almost everything. Plans that have a higher percent chance of going wrong than right. But they're plans, at least I have them.
First on the list, is getting past my own pack without anyone noticing I left. Which is super inconvenient, because Jim blasted everyone last night about keeping and eye on me at all times.
"Raelynn!" Dwane called from downstairs.
I raised my eyebrows, looking at the clock. It's six in the morning, I know they're all morning people, but what could they possibly want from me?
"Get your ass down here!" The pervert shouted.
I so don't need this right now. I have too much to worry about, I don't need their pissy attitudes right now! I'm sure my face turned red with anger as I threw Tyler's sheets off of me, and started making my way downstairs.
I slept in Tyler's room with him last night. Of course, all the other guys were pissy, but no one suspected anything because I had to sleep somewhere. Nothing happened, much to my dismay. He did hold me all night, and that felt really nice.
I'm sure I look fantastic right now as well, with my insane hair, cotton shorts, crop top, and fuzzy Jack Skellington socks. This better be good.
Of course, the top dogs are all in the kitchen huddled around the counter. "What?" I snapped, crossing my arms over my stomach, glaring at them all.
Jim and X are looking down at a piece of paper in disbelief. Tyler is standing with his arms crossed in the corner looking murderous. And the pervert and Dwane are muttering back and fourth.
X slowly looked up at me with raised eyebrows, "If you're pissed off now wait till you see this shit," he glanced down to the paper.
There is nothing on that puny pice of paper that could possibly make my life worse than it is. I scoffed, walking around to their side of the counter. I stood between Jim and X, and read the paper.
To the Crescent Moon pack,
I looked up at Jim with raised eyebrows, "Crescent moon pack?" I snickered. He rolled his eyes at me.
We would like to formally invite you to the mating ball. As you all know, balls have not been held for many centuries. Word has traveled about the existence of the shewolf. We see fit that she be introduced to all werewolves.
During this ball, the shewolf will pick an alpha of her choosing to impregnate her.
I raised my eyebrows, "I think the fuck not," I breathed out. My body didn't have time to react to that new information, because I kept on reading. Instead of breathing rabidly like I should be right now, my mind is going a million miles a second.
We are aware that many packs are enemies of one another, but we ask that for this night you set aside your differences and enjoy the night.
