I woke up in a bed. My bed. Not the bed at the mansion, but the one at my old home. I quickly stumbled out of my room and walked to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and my heart stopped.
I had dark brown hair, green eyes, pale skin, and freckles. My Cupid's bow shaped lips were parted and my finely trimmed eye brows were scrunched up. It couldn't have been a dream...could it? Jane, Liu...Ben...
"No," I whispered and dropped to the floor, holding my head in my hands. I gripped my hair and started to cry hysterically. My sobs echoed through the empty house, and the soft thuds of me rocking back and forth reached my ears. I finally stop crying after I hear a voice.
"Shh...don't cry, E. It's okay, it was all a dream. But, I sill remember you, okay?" Asked the voice.
"W...what? Who's there?" The voice was somewhat comforting, yet giving off an icy feeling too.
"You don't remember me?" The voice sounded hurt. Like...like I should remember them no matter what.
I stood up and followed the voice. Downstairs. I quickly made my way downstairs and ran to the living room. Ben was standing in the center of the room holding one of his hats. I quickly ran towards him and practically tackled him in a hug. My legs wrapped around his waist and my arms wound around his neck. He held my close, as if he let go, he would lose me forever.
"Promise me something, E." Says Ben as he holds me even tighter than before.
"Anything." I say and snuggle closer to him.
"Promise me...you won't ever leave me." He says as I smile.
"I promise."
