Chapter 23

"No no nooooo" we heard from the kitchen. Running upstairs we found Alex holding April in his arms. Her wrists smothered in blood, her face white. I grabbed her from Alex and called Taylor to get the car. I held her in my arms, trying to stop the bleeding with my jumper.

"Where we going? Main hospital?" Taylor, asked putting the keys in the ignition.

"No, Green View"

"Dude, are you sure?"

"Yes, she needs it."

I woke up in an unfamiliar room. The walls were padded and my wrists were tied up. There was a bed, which I was led in, along with a white desk, white chair, a stack of paper and a small closet. I opened the closet, there were 2 pairs of white plimsolls and 1 pair of red converse that were mine, a white t-shirt and blue shorts.I stepped towards a door and opened it revealing a small bathroom containing a bath, sink and toilet. The door opened, revealing a nurse and a young women who looked around 19.

"Hello honey, I'm nurse harmen and this is your therapist, Sally." The nurse said with a fake smile.

"W-where am I?"

"Green View Hospital, you were bought here by your brother. We will hopefully be able to discharge you soon, depending on how well you do."

"Huh?"

"Your here because you tried to commit sucide"

"Oh"

"You are welcome to use the common room anytime. You may ask to be accused to your room but we would prefer you too make some friends here."

"I don't have friends." I said blunty.

"Right, come and I'll show you too the common." She led me out the room, walking down a small corridor before reaching a double door. She swooped her pass on the buzzed and the doors unlocked. There were three couches, a TV and lots of books. There were only around eight people in the room.

"It's not a very big ward so this is it, if you need anything ask me" the nurse said pushing me into the room.

I stepped in, people looked like they were having fun. Smiling and laughing. I took a seat on an empty couch and looked out the window.

People were looking at me now, giving me dirty and some puzzling looks.

A continued looking out the window when I felt a dip in the couch. I turned around to see a boy, around my age. He had curly blonde hair and green eyes.

"Hello" he said, looking at me,

"Hi"

"What's your name?"

"April"

"I'm Thomas but you can call me Tom."

I stayed silent.

"So why are you here?"

"I tried to kill myself" i said, emotionlessly.

"Oh, sorry."

"What about you?" I said, turning to face him, looking at his light green orbs.

"I killed someone"

"What?"

"I killed someone, by accident. They snapped my arm so I snapped there neck, don't worry though I won't hurt you."

"Um okay"

"Wanna be friends?"

"I don't have friends"

"Hmmm, well maybe you could just have one?"

"Whatever."

-1 month Later-

Today was the day, we were going to pick up April. We were informed by the hospital that they had given her medicine to make her sleep for a while. We arrived after the 40 minute car journey. Me and Taylor walked inside while Nash and Matt stayed in the car.

"Hello, are you here for miss April Dallas?"

"Yes"

"Before you go and collect her I must warn you, the medication is extremely strong. It will begin to work in the next 10 minutes."

"Okay"

She led us to a wide open room. April was sat on the couch, a small bag clutched in her hand. She was thinner than before and much much pailer.

"Hey, come on" i said, passing her bag to Taylor and taking her hand. We began to walk out the ward, down the long hallway.

"I'm tired" she mumbled. I picked her up and carried her in my arms. She tucked her head in my chest. We arrived at the car. Nash and Matt were in the front. Taylor sat one side of the car and I sat the other with April laid on us. I stroked her hair. I heard a small gag and felt liquid running down my front. She just puked on me.
