I groan as I come to. A large head looms over me. I look at it through hazed eye. I see a copper tooth in the man's mouth. The tooth falls out and lands on me. I shriek and fall off the table.

I groan again and my eyes finally focus. A boy with red skin looms over me. Gobber starts talking. "Oye! You can't just fall off my table until I'm finished lookin' atcha!"

I stood up. "Oye! I'm fine! I don't need help!" I became dizzy. I stood up too fast and didn't get enough air. I felt a hand on my arm. My eyes went to his hand and then traveled up the arm. My eyes rested on his face.

"Are you okay?" The boy asked. His voice, oh! that voice! It was so melodious. Imagine the sound of fire, the whisper of smoke, and burning wood. That's what he sounded like. It was so unique and special!

Gobber made a rustling sound. A door closed.

"I'm fine." I said, pulling my arm away. Who does he think he is?

"Well, okay. I'm Hookfang. I found you passed out on a bench. I was ... erm ..." His face got all red. "I was ... well, sorta stalking Stormfly when I found you. I can't believe that Stormfly would do that! I never thought that she'd just leave you. But then. Astrid was talking to a newbie..."

If Dawn was here ... I wonder if she IS here. I thought. I mean, she had to be! Her Monstrous Nightmare friend had this huge crush on Hookfang.

"Are you okay?" He asked me, concern written on his face.

I nod. "I'm just thinking about a friend. Say, is there a Monstr-girl named Dawn here?"

"Dawn?" He bit his lip, thinking. "Purple skinned girl with dark purple hair and blue streaks? Yeah, there is. She's really quiet and likes to stay in the library."

Dawn normally wasn't like that. She was outgoing and could be spunky. What could have happened to her?

"I could hook you up with someone to show you around school." Hookfang offered. "Snotlout will be wondering where I am. He wants to go look at the cheer leaders." At this he rolls his eyes. "Hey, I'll see you around!" He smiled and started walking away, but stopped and turned around. "I never got your name."

I smiled. "Echogreen."

He nodded and jogged out the door.

I frowned. Now where am I? I turned around and my whereabouts instantly became known. I was in a medical room. Probably a ... what was the word the Vikings used? Oh yeah. Hospital. It didn't seem like that though, too small, inadequate, and it didn't look like her descriptions.

I shrugged. It probably wasn't important. Well, it was time to get out of the room and explore campus.

I pushed open the heavy wooden door. It swung open revealing glossy floors, giant trophies, and pictures of people. Echogreen stepped closer to one. It looked amazing. The blue haired woman had streaks of lighter blue running through her hair. Her skin was a light blue and had a green streak through the left arm. Her eyes were a fierce blue and seemed to radiate a green-blue glow. Her clothes were a dark blue and had a red velvet sash around it.

She looked familiar. I looked closer at the painting and stifled a gasp. There was a Night Fury emblem on her right sleeve. On the description underneath the painting, it said, "Echolocation, principal 1990-2005, widower, one child" and a few things under that. They were all unintelligible. I needed to find a book about this Echolocation. I guess it was time to go to the library.

A bell rang and I covered my ears and closed my eyes. I felt a jostling and opened my eyes. Had I died and gone to Paradise? There were so many colors! I had to shield my eyes from the color onslaught. After the people passed, regular looking humans walked by and ignored me.
