5 YEARS LATER
I bit down on the end of my pen, as I examined Drea's resume. I titled my held back as read each word carefully and precisely. "So." I said, finally speaking up. I looked up from her resume and stared at her. "It's Drea..right?" She nodded, pushing her glasses closer to her face. "It's say here, that you went to school for nursing, and you've worked at three different hospitals for the past four years." She nodded again. "And what makes you think you have what it takes to be a SERVICE girl??" I dropped her resume on my desk and leaned back in my seat, folding my arms in the process.
"...I uh...I wanted to try something different...be more out there you know??" I chuckled and shook my head. "Being a SERVICE girl isn't about being more out there sweetie, it's a lifestyle. It's about your character and your personality, and quite frankly, Im not sure you have one." She sighed. "Look Ms.Johnson, I know this place has a high reputation, and I wouldn't do anything to change that, if you just give me a chance I-"
"Next!" I yelled towards my office door. I didn't like when girls were weak, and begging for a damn job, is definetely weak in my eyes. "I'll keep your resume on file, have a good day." I shot her a small smile, before looking down at the papers on my desk. I heard her sigh and walk off towards the door. Once she was gone, I looked up from my desk and took a deep breath. "This isn't getting any easier." I mumbled.
"Bring in the next one!!" I yelled. I looked at my office door to see Jarod stepping inside. I frowned. "Aren't you suppose to be bringing in the next girl?" I lifted a brow and waited for him to respond. "She was last one for the day." He took a seat across from me and kicked his feet up on my desk. "Get your crusty ass Jordans off my desk." I pushed his feet off my desk and rolled my eyes. He sucked his teeth. "You always trippin."
"Whatever, anyways, what do you mean she was the last one?? I thought we atleast had a few more." I looked through the clipboard of names, wondering where everybody went. "You sent everybody home." I sighed. "You really need to stop being so picky Mimi, so far you only hired three girls." I leaned back in my seat and rubbed my forehead. "I know." I started. "It's just that none of these girls have what Im lookin for, and Im not just going to hire anybody." Jarod nodded.
"I know, I know, your dad always had the best women, so you have to have the best women." He said in a rehearsed tone. I smiled. "Atleast you know." He chuckled and shook his head. "Aye, if you ever running short on girls, you know I can pull a few up for you." I rolled my eyes in disgust. "Ion need one of your hoes to come work for me, I'll pass." He chuckled. "You sound a bit salty, you good?"
I nodded. "Im great, I just don't need one of your thots running around my place of business, that's just unneeded drama." He fanned me off and pulled out his phone that was constantly vibrating in his pocket. "I bet that's one of them now." I said with a smirk. He shook his head. "Nah, your wrong." He answered the phone and placed it to his ear. "Hey Staci." He said, smiling into the phone. I made a gagging noise as I locked up my desk and grabbed my keys.
"Nah ma, I can't come through tonight, I got plans." I shook my head and laughed a little to myself. Jarod was always playing games with these girls. I remember when we were younger and he never used to pay these girls any mind, now there all he can think about. "Ight, I'll just hit you up when Im free." He hung up the phone and smiled at me. "You didn't have to lie to the girl." I said with a smirk. He shook his head.
"I ain't lie, I do got plans." He started. "Im coming over tonight, so wear somethin sexy." I chuckled. "First of all, you just can't invite yourself over my house, and second, Im your boss, you can't mix business with pleasure." He licked his lips and smirked. "You wasn't say all that when I had you pent to these office walls." He stood up and leaned into my lips, acting as if he was about to kiss me. I crossed my legs tightly, trying to fight what I was feeling.
