Izuku's POV

I was just minding my own business in the library again, reading some novels about hunters or other magical creatures. Shouchan's library is full of all kinds of books, they're either fairy tails that I've never heard of, or other interesting books about hunters, and most of those books are about the No.1 Hunter; All Might!

I sighed, finishing another book and putting it away. I tend to read a lot more when in my free time, not much of a big fan of video games, but I do play them. I once even beat Kacchan at Mario Cart.

"I should take a break, maybe get a snack in the kitchen." I said to myself and got up to go to the kitchen. Walking down the long corridors of the castle, taking my sweet time to finally reach near the kitchen.

"Is it gonna be the same this year?" I stoped in my tracks right in front of the double-doors of the kitchen hearing the muffled voice from inside, I was thinking of heading back to not eavesdrop on whoever is talking inside, but my curiosity got the best of me when I caught the next sentence.

"You mean his birthday?" The other voice said. A long pause occurred. "I think so, he didn't bother to celebrate it last year, too. I don't think Midoriya-san knows either." At the mention of my name I went up to the door and opened it to invite myself into their conversation. "Whose birthday is it?" I startled the two females, Uraraka and Yaoyorozu.

"Deku-kun! You heard?" I nodded and closed the doors behind me. "Sorry, I couldn't help but get curious. And I heard my name so I thought it's important or something. So whose birthday are we talking about?"

The two looked at each other, looking hesitant to answer my question. I got nervous at how I acted so sudden and straight(gay) forward without even thinking. "S-sorry!" I waved my hands frantically around. "It's okay if you guys can't tell me, I-I understand completely if it's something persona-"

"No, no! It's okay Midoriya-san! We can tell you! It's just....I don't know if it matters much for him." Momo frowned. Looking down and sighing. "It's Prince Shouto's birthday we were talking about, it's today, but I don't think-"

"It's Shouchan's birthday!? Oh no, I didn't even know! I can't believe I haven't even asked! We've together for over a year now and I never knew! I should go greet him right away!" I turned around in my heels to run off and find Shouchan, but I was then tugged back by a magical pink aura surrounding me and made me float back to where the two are.

"Um..Deku-kun." Ochaco placed me back down on the ground. "I don't think you should bother...Todo might get in a bad mood." She looked blue with her usual cheery smile fading into a frown.

"But why? Shouldn't he be happy on his birthday?" I was confused to see their sad expressions about this. 'Did something bad happen on his birthday?' Thinking about that possibility I felt sad myself becuz it might be it, considering I have seen Shouto's childhood memories, they weren't all that happy becuz of his father.

"It's...about his parents, isn't it?" I asked quietly. They both let out a heavy sigh and nodded to confirm my theory. "You see. Shouto has never celebrated his birthday ever since...the Queen disappeared." Momo explained. I was shocked to know this information about Shouto's mother, I almost felt like crying for Shouchan.
