"What did I do to deserve an angel like you?" He asked that was obviously directed to himself. His bright hazel green eyes held so many emotions that she couldn't even seek a slightest bit. But one thing she knew about him, that he love her as much as she is. And the way he held her, it was as if she was fragile.
"I could ask you the same" She said as she stared back at those eyes while shivering as his breath met her face. She clings her arms around his neck and laying her head on his chest. Listening to the steady sound of his heartbeat. Breathing the scent of him.
It felt like home.
She was home.
"I love you. Forever and always" He said.
And that was the last thing she heard before slowly drift off to sleep to the warm of his arms.
The end.
"Oh how sweet of him" I mumbled as I closed the book and put it in my bag. Sipping my unfinished coffee, I glance over the window. Looking to the stangers who passed by while. Yet my ears seems to wanting to explore inside the cafe. Listening to the random's conversation but still keeping my eyes outside the building.
"I don't know what I have to do anymore. It's driving me insane" I heard one of the girl who sat behind me groaning.
"Hey, everything's gonna be alright okay? I will always be there for you" Said the other girl who's comforting the first girl.
And that's it.
The familiar of bitter taste slowly crept in my tongue. It wasn't taste as if you just drank some foul medicine. Or when you were forced by your mother to eat some bitter melon. Or when you accidentally taste a bit of your shampoo when you clean your hair. No, it worse. Even worse than poison. Well we all know that junk food are tastier than vegetables.
"Dang" I curse. The unbearable taste make me almost gagging, even I tried to eat some candy.
Hurriedly, I grab my bag and run to the restroom. Away from those girls. Looking at myself in the mirror. I tried to wash my mouth with the water from the sink.
Fortunately, it was slowly gone. And I begin to calm myself. Sure it wasn't the first time but I know it won't be last.
"What a pain" I sighed. Taking out my napkin that I brought, I wipe the water away in my mouth. And tried to fix my messy self as I look at the mirror again.
"That girl better be aware of the broken promises"
