MARINETTE'S POV

I wake up at eight, which is quite early for a Sunday, only then I realise it's actually Monday. So I go through the usual ransacking of my wardrobe, settling for a grey hoodie and jeans, then throwing my hair up into a ponytail, scowling at the strands that are two short to reach the back of my head. The frostiness outside really effects how much of an effort I make.

I just wanna lie in bed all day.

Before I know it, I find myself walking out of the house, pastel pink scarf round my neck, earphones in, a flask of hot chocolate in my hands, just generally feeling sorry for myself for waking my poor body up to go to school. I mind my own business, walking on the pavement until I notice that I can't hear any music from my earphones. I feel as if someone keeps calling my name, only when I take an earphone out to double check, I notice Adrien besides me, grinning.

He's wearing a grey hoodie and a black coat, with matching jeans, bag swinging, sipping on a drink from his flask.

He looks at me, then laughs, 'guess we're twinning today, huh?'

He looks at me, then laughs, 'guess we're twinning today, huh?'

I look at myself, then at him, before feeling my cheeks burn scarlet, and I can hear him chuckling. I roll my eyes.

'What are you listening to?' he asks.

'music,' I say, grinning.

'wow, real helpful!' he says, before pulling the other earphone out of my hand and putting it on, 'Billie Eilish, wow you must be in a mood,'

'it's too cold,' I groan, 'I want to go home,'

'well, you are coming to school with me, whether you like it or not,'he says firmly, before adding,'put Ocean Eyes on,'

'wait till this song finishes..' he ignores me and pulls my phone out, pressing skip whilst I protest.

'I've never fallen from quite this high, falling into your ocean eyes,' he sings, looking at me from the side.

I don't know how to respond, so I giggle nervously.

Is Adrien..

He can't be.

Is he flirting with me?

I'm so confused.

'You don't normally walk to school,' I say, half asking.

'the limo isn't repaired,' those green eyes glow radiantly.

'and it has absolutely nothing to do with you, right?'

'of course not,' I stop to glare at him, and he grins back.

Ugh, why does he have to be so damn charming?

ADRIEN'S POV

Of course, if Plagg was to mess with the limo, it doesn't mean I put him up for it...

MARINETTE'S POV

As the song comes towards the end, I hear Adrien humming under his breath.

He notices this, and laughs, 'It's not fair how you have a song dedicated to your pretty eyes,'

I still don't know if he is flirting. I think he's joking around, because it has come out of nowhere.

'erm, thanks?' I say, and he grins to himself.

We turn round the corner, and are suddenly ambushed by a wall of flashing cameras and shouting interviewers.

'Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng!'

FLASH. FLASH. CLICK. YELL.

'Are you guys dating?'

CLICK. CLICK. FLASH. FLASH.

'Is it official?'

FLASH. FLASH. CLICK.

'Adrien, does your father approve?'

'Miss Marinette, how do you feel about Paris' renowned heroes commenting on your Instagram post? Adrien, are you worried?'

As we push through the crowds and arrive at the school gates, Adrien grabs my hand and escorts me infront of him.

Way to make them all go crazy.

'I'm honoured,' I call, before waving at the blinding lights with my companion, before we enter the school building.

'Why would I be worried?' Adrien mumbles, just loud enough for me to hear.

'no idea,' I say, and he looks surprised, before giving me his prize-winning smile.

'let's take a selfie,' he pulls out his phone and holds it up.

'You never ask, do you?' I say, amused.

'that's coz I always get what I want,' he says, after taking the picture and examining it, before saving it.

'that sounds so, incredibly wrong,' I laugh at the bad thoughts in my head and shake them away quickly.

He turns and grins at me, 'are you implying something?'

'ewwww, Adrien, that is disgusting!'

'you're the one that thought it!' he says, which leaves me stunned, making him laugh as i push him away.

ADRIEN'S POV

Half way through our first lesson, I'm still wondering about my new conspiracy theory. I look at the girl sat infront of me. She gave me ladybug-type responses everytime I tried to flirt with her.

But what if it's because she only sees me as a friend?

I guess I'm going to have to bring this up to a new level if I want to get a response out of her. I start thinking of some smooth pick-up lines about how effortlessly gorgeous she is. I'm sure I can come up with some good ones.

I look at her hair, her jawline and her neck.

That I kissed a few days ago.

DOES THAT MEAN I KISSED LADYBUG'S NECK?!?!?!?!

Its only a theory, I tell myself.

How am I going to work this out?

And then something clicks in my brain. I should use the pick-up line on ladybug, then her, then see how she reacts.

I'm so smart.

I think of something that both girls, or the same girl even, have is common.

Blue eyes.

Ocean eyes.

Aha, I've got it!

Now, all I need is Ladybug.
