It's a "slowly but surely" feeling
Like a persistent after taste
That won't go away,
Sourced at the back of the tongue
But slowly settles at the back of the throat
Forming a painful ball of pure displeasure
That causes you to choke on warm tears that are now flooding your face
The whole sensation weighing you down like a ton of bricks.
