...KATHERINE SALVATORES POV...
I was woken by a soft hand touching my back I turned over and realized it was Stefan.
"Oh hey what's up?"I asked.
"Your late."Stefan said. I looked at the clock and realized I was.
"Crap."I said.
"Elena's taking a shower why do you smell like alcohol?"Stefan asked.
"I might have drank a little to much bourbon last night."I said.
"Damon?"Stefan asked.
"Yeah."I said.
"Wow you two are really siblings, get cleaned up take a shower and I'll have breakfast orange juice and an aspirin waiting for you downstairs."Stefan said.
"Umm that sounds good."I smiled.
"Yeah I'm sure it does."Stefan said and patted me on the shoulder and left the room I looked at my phone and I had no text from Damon.

...DAMON'S POV...
I heard someone knocking on the door, and I answered it. It was Jeremy.
"I need to talk to you."Jeremy said.
"And why do I need to talk to you?"I asked and I tried to close the door on him. Jeremy pushed it back open.
"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet."Jeremy said.
"Wow, fascinating. Not enough."I said and I attempted to close the door again, but Jeremy pushed it back.
"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here."Jeremy said.
"A moonstone?"I asked.
"And I know where it is."Jeremy said.
"And you're bringing me this why?"I asked.
"Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?"Jeremy said.
"What's your sister say about this little discovery?"I asked and Jeremy didn't answer.
"Oh, you haven't told her, have you?"I asked.
"Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this."Jeremy said and Jeremy tried to walk into the house. I pushes him out.
"And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic."I said.
"You going to let me in or not?"Jeremy asked and I stepped aside and Jeremy walked in and I closed the door.
"Quick question how's kath?"I asked referring to my sister.
"She probably has a hangover."Jeremy said.
"Your not funny."I said.
"I'm not trying to be after you two broke up she literally drank a whole bottle of bourbon last night I would know I was the one who tucked her into bed."Jeremy said.
"Well like brother like sister I guess."I smirked.

...JENNA'S POV...
There are people everyone helping to set up for the Masquerade Ball. Inside, me and Carol were talking.
"Jenna, thanks for helping wrangle the volunteers."Carol said.
"Of course, it's for a good cause. Plus, I have always been a sucker for the Masquerade Ball."I said.
"So was Richard. This was always his favorite party of the year."Carol said and Matt and Tyler carried a table into the room and almost dropped it.
"Wait, wait, wait, Tyler!"Matt said and Carol looked over at them.
"Boys! Be careful with that! It's from the 1800s."Carol said.
"Excuse me."Carol said to me.
"Tyler!"Carol said.
"Mom, we got it."Tyler said and Tyler and Matt continue to carefully move the table. Carol walked over to them. I walked into another room and saw Stefan.
"Stefan, hey!"I said.
"Hey."Stefan said.
"How's your sister I noticed she was a bit off last night."I said.
"Yeah sorry about that she's going through some problems with my brother that's she just working out."Stefan said.
"Ah okay I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious."I said.
"No no she's fine her head should be more cleared up today with the aspirin I gave her."Stefan said.
"I'm cooking dinner tonight. Ric will be there, you and Katherine should come."I said.
"You know, Elena and I, we're kind of taking a - a pause."Stefan said.
"Really?"I asked.
"Yeah."Stefan said.
"Because that's not what it sounded like this morning."I said and Stefan tried to muster a face of confusion, but failed to fool me.
"Light sleeper. You know what? I heard nothing."I said and I left.
